And so…when I was rummaging around yesterday to find a little piece of Corian for a lithophane (previous post) I happened into the motorcycle gas tank that I picked up at a garage sale last year. I had also picked up something for legs and a thorax at a local steel yard remnant stack, and a ten gallon propane tank at another garage sale for the abdomen. By the time I had collected everything, it was late in the year and the whole thing got put aside. So, while the CNC was humming along yesterday, I gathered together all of the parts and put my ant together. It is HUGE. I suppose that you can determine the scale by knowing what the parts are---a ten gallon propane tank and motorcycle gas tank. It is almost eleven feet across and six feet from front to back.

It has the neighborhood in stitches and has been dubbed the ‘neighborhood guard ant’

Ahhh...another woodworker. I am impressed.

Based on the tools that you have, I assume that you are old school and hand tools. That is a skill that I never acquired. I determine what it is that I want to do---then buy the tool that does that. No skill required.

At any rate, I have a friend who has spent a lifetime building a shop. He has never built anything in his shop, but he has a world-class shop.

So...tell me that you are not a tool collector, but these tools get used for 'stuff'. And if that is the case, let's see some of your 'stuff'.

I have never attempted anything as complex as your toolbox---I am much impressed. Thanks for posting.
