Did you lose your morals when you lost your religion?

Many theists hold the assumption that most people lose faith in their religion simply because they don't want to try to be good. They would rather choose to live their life wild and crazy, than follow the straight and narrow as God has commanded.

Non-Theists, have you lead a less "Christian" lifestyle since you lost your religion?

How were your morals affected by your decision to leave church?

If you lead a better, or more "Christian" lifestyle since your change of faith, what are the main reasons?

Tbh I haven't been without my religion for long, but since then I do basicaly the same right and wrong things. I still feel bad when I wrong someome else, I feel good when I help them. The only huge difference is that I don't feel guilty about doing things the bible says are "wrong." I've just had to find my own moral compass.
I agree. It's mostly about what makes you a better person. If your religion makes you a better person, or if you switched beliefs to become a better person. That's the heart of it. The people in these forums search for truths, and spend a lot of time devoted to their belief. Whatever the belief, to spend that much time devoted to it, you must be pretty interested in all of it. So you would think one would have better odds at coming out of it a better person than before.
