Does smoking or using Marijuana help or is it a problem?

Does it make people stupid and not think clearly or does it actually provide a means for intellectual discourse?

I recall it makes one think everything is profound and triggers a lot of philisophical sounding talk, but most everything said is in general, meaningless, false, or just insane.

Though it does help keep the company that sells those cheesy styrform twist things in business.

It helps, no doubt about it. I have had some wonderful discussions concerning the optimum fluffiness of bread. It also helps that I have not been able to hold down a job which gives me more time to talk about such nonsense.

Cannabis fuels creativity. There seems to be no disagreement about this, the disagreement comes when discussing the value of this creativity.
Novelty fuels creativity, boredom stifles creativity.

If being creative stimulates philosophical discussions, then cannabis can help.
If seeing things with a different perspective stimulates philosophical discussion, then cannabis can help.

I see no reason to believe that cannabis will always, or never, productively stimulate philosophical discussion.
It most certainly depends on the user(s), and the event.

It seems to me that productive philosophical discussions require a meeting of the minds, and sometime cannabis helps, sometimes it hinders.

It all depends.

Does this or that drug improve the health of a particular person.
It all depends.

If it helps any kind of rational mental activity, that is certainly not apparent to an outside observer.
