Burning Holy Books is something I can sympathise with...I have at times wanted to burn every Holy Book every written...but then I think 'hey then I am as bad as them' and take deep calming breaths.

Well I keep an open mind, I have met people who frankly could pass for being possessed by something...wicked...when I was a child I once met a man coming down the street...he looked at me and smiled...the most evil smile I have ever seen.
My child's mind could not believe he was human...I was so scared I immediately broke into a run...my instincts screaming at me to flee this man.

I have never met a person since that seemed to emanate pure evil as he did.

He didnt say a word...I heard him laugh after me as I fled, his laughter was amused and knowing...whatever happened that day...I will never forget...I dont remember what he looked like...all I recall is that he looked totally normal...until he smiled at me and I looked into his eyes.

I share this experience to tell you something...that maybe there is more to this world than can be measured perhaps...there are other esoteric experiences I have had which I wont go into now...it suffices to say that I am not as closed minded as I might appear.
I simply am very wary of trusting the un verifiable words of long dead men.
This 'faith' concept...I do not understand how one can submit to faith.
While I accept that what we call reality is only a fraction of what really exists...I am not sure about any known religion...even if I admire some facets of many of them...and I do.
My militant stance on religion here is not really a stage for me to ponce about throwing my weight around like some narssisic arse...I know it seems like it.
Actually it goes much much deeper.
I sometimes catch glimpses of something unexplainable & unbelievable, but my puny little mind cannot hold on to them long, I am just left with impressions and feelings (Dont tell the other atheists I said that) that are disconcerting and confusing.
