Frankly this is one of those things that just keeps cropping up into apologetics for whatever reason.

Its proof of alien abductions
Its proof of a literal Adam and Eve
Its proof of Noah's flood
Its proof of etc.


No the only thing we can deduce from these various studies is. That there is a common matrilineal and patrilineal line. THAT IS IT nothing else that is all it doesn't say anything else. Anything added onto that is an inference based on an assumption. There is no reason to do that with any of the data.

What is even more incredulous is the selective approach to data mining that goes through with it. mixing and matching a variety of differing studies to get a desired result/argument. It is dishonest and depressing.

Unless you have a deep understanding of genetics and biology I see no reason to even try and bring this up. As any argument made using it basically revolves around bad assumptions and a misrepresentation of the data.

Actually, it's a lot longer than that. Recently, in a very small number of people in one tribe, the divergence from the rest of the human race is about 340,000 years ago
