Since Jesus could read and write in any language

Since Jesus could read and write in any language why didn't he write his own scriptures? He could have written a version in English on a indestructible material for people to find in say 1950.

Would have prevented a lot od difference in Christians beliefs.

If a God existed and left detailed and comprehensible instructions for people, then the clergy would have no way of collecting money for the "job" of interpreting the words of this God for you.

I don't believe that Jesus could read and write any language. He was born as a human and as such had to learn things as a human would. If he was born automatically with these skills the stories would have said this. Jesus would have been this amazing celebrity who knew everything from birth and that alone would prove to everyone around him he was divine. If he started out being all knowing then he can hardly be considered human. As it was he already had advantages humans don't have (like being born without a human nature).

If you are talking about God (Yahweh), then yes, God should easily be able to produce a perfect bible for every language that does not contain ambiguities and inaccurate translations. You'd think it would be easy for such a God. The fact he hasn't, is damning evidence to me that he is non existent.

Society and its morals evolve and will continue to evolve. The bible however remains the same and just requires more and more apologetics and claims of "metaphors" and "symbolism" to justify it.

Prayer is like rubbing an old bottle and hoping that a genie will pop out and grant you three wishes.

There is much about this world that is mind boggling and impressive, but I see no need whatsoever to put it down to magical super powered beings.

Christians truly believe that Jesus is God and therefore Jesus knew everything that God knows and God knows everything. Therefore Jesus could read and write all languages including all future languages.

What say all you Christians?

I know Atheists either think Jesus never existed or if he did he was nothing more than a illiterate Jewish apocalypticism preacher.

Firstly I want to say that according to the Bible, Jesus didn’t know all that God knows, because Jesus allegedly said:

But no one knows of that day and hour, not even the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
Matt. 24:36

According to the Bible, Jesus is not God, but God’s temple.

But why not write English? I think it wouldn’t really make any meaningful difference. Those who don’t like his teachings would reject them anyway, so there is really no reason to do something more.

It's an interesting question, but I wonder why was there need of a book in the first place?

You either want to interact with your creation or you don't. If you do, why a book? Why not keep popping down for visits or broadcasting through sky-o-vision? Why not a weekly blog or a ten minute weekly sound byte on CNN?

The book has always floored me as a reasonable means of communicating wishes from an allegedly all powerful god.

It's possible the creator of all worlds chose a compilation of oral narratives to serve as his instruction manual, don't get me wrong. Seems a bit silly is all, given the current state of affairs and the failure rate of said compilation to be understood.

Preventing differences in Christian sects was never the point because with the war by Satan upon us and the truth, even one verse written exactly the same in every rendering of it would be interpreted a multitude of ways...

There fore by allowing this situation to exist we can see that HE has a reason for doing it this way and that is to force HIS elect to seek HIM, not their own understanding of the Bible...especially since HE calls us to live by faith, not proof.

Just like HE allowed Satan to follow his heart in his treatment of the most perfect man on earth, Job, to prove he will always treat such people in a monstrous fashion, so to HE allows Satan and his disciples to mangle the gospel message to prove to the elect that his evil has no bounds agains the truth and will never cease.

PCE Theology as I see it...

We had an existence with a free will in Sheol before the creation of the physical universe. Here we chose to be able to become holy or to be eternally evil in YHWH's sight. Then the physical universe was created and all sinners were sent to earth.

This theology debunks the need to base Christianity upon the blasphemy of creating us in Adam's sin.

What does what you wrote have to do with the question of Jesus being able to read and write in any language since he is God?

Your response makes no sense if God is a passionate forgiving God. I guess your god is the one in the old testament cruel and vindictive?

Maybe, but making more sense and getting the message across in a succinct manner would certainly go a long way to getting a person to take it seriously.

The fact that God doesn't do it this way is damning evidence that he doesn't exist. Why wouldn't a God do regular announcements? Any good teacher regular keeps their students up to date. Preachers are always up there in the pulpit. Even a motivational speaker will regularly provide videos or conferences to feed his clients with the latest material. They're there to continually coach and ensure that things go as they should.

There are no good excuses why God wouldn't do this sort of thing. God could if he wanted to and I'm sure if he was real he would. It would certainly cut out all this debate about whether God exists or not. There are just way too many feeble excuses for God's apparent non-existence.

I don't buy the whole argument about God preferring to remain detectable. According to Christians he makes himself known to them every day of their lives.

Society and its morals evolve and will continue to evolve. The bible however remains the same and just requires more and more apologetics and claims of "metaphors" and "symbolism" to justify it.
