Spirit, if one believes what the Bible says.

Ex 33:20; Joh 1:18; 1Ti 1:17; Joh 4:24; 2Co 3:17, 18

Does it say God is only Spirit? No. The Bible does say God created man in His own image and likeness. Does the Bible say man is only spirit? No, man is also flesh (Gen 6:3), meaning nam is made up of spirit and flesh.

If one believes the Bible (Gen 1:26-27), one must believe God is also flesh because He made, not only in His image, but according to His likeness. Therefore, if God was only spirit, man would have been made only as a spirit.

Think about it. The firstborn over all creation is Jesus Christ (God with us, in the flesh).

Yes it does.
John 4:24

"God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship in spirit and truth."
(Jesus' words BTW)

Nowhere in the Bible is God referred to as flesh.

That does not say God is a Spirit only. It only says to worship God in Spirit and in truth. Look at what Jesus said: see John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me".

According to Jesus, here is only one way to worship in spirit and in truth, through Him. Is Jesus spirit only or in truth is He also flesh?

It doesn't say He is a stone or a tree either...shouldn't we focus on what it does say He is? If we focus on what it doesn't say He is then we will be typing all day. If God was flesh then Jesus would have said so.

Yes, so let's go to what it says in Gen 1:26-27. If God is spirit only as you claim, then there is no other conclusion we can come to other than God made man in the invisible image and likeness of His spirit. Obviously, this is not the case. It is also obvious that God never said He was only Spirit as you supposed.

What say you?

You didn't just do that, did you? After saying let's not say what God I din't say, you turn around and said what Jesus didn't say. I don't you realized what you did, but . . .really?

The bible does say God is a spirit and that no human has or can seen God at any time.

Could God transform himself into human form? Theoretically he could since he can do anything BUT the bible also indicates God never violates his own principles which are governed by his love, justice, power and wisdom. In short he will never allow himself to use his power in a way would be unloving, unjust, or unwise.

For God to transform himself into a human would be unwise, unjust and unloving as it would put the entire universe at risk, would also be using his power in a vain useless and utterly pointless manner. So no, there would be no reason for God to transform lower himself to human form.

Yes, the Bible says plainly that "God is spirit" (John 4:24, NASB).

God and Jesus created man in their own image in that humans have the primary qualities of God and Jesus: power, wisdom, love and justice. Of course humans don't have these things EQUAL to God, but He gave us a measure of these things, that animals don't have (though "love" can be attributed to animals to some degree). It is not the PHYSICAL attributes of God that we were created with, but with these ATTRIBUTES. How can God be physical when he is spirit? And how could a physical person create the vast universe?

Jesus was not literally "God with us in the flesh." Jesus REPRESENTED God, therefore it can be said that God was with mankind.
