Colossians 3:20
Children, be obedient to your parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing to the Lord. (NASB)

Does the Lord refer to Jehovah?
The Watchtower: You young people know that your parents feel that it is wise to make such restrictions, perhaps for your own protection. You surely know, too, that Jehovah is pleased when you obey your parents. (Colossians 3:20) (Young People, Praise Jehovah!, June 15, 2005)

Does the Lord refer to the Lord Jesus?
The Watchtower: To be obedient to your parents “is righteous—right and proper. It is also wise. (Proverbs 8:33) Another Bible text says that it is "well-pleasing" to our Lord Jesus Christ. Indeed, God commands you to obey your parents.—Colossians 3:20; 1 Corinthians 8:6. ("Children, Be Obedient to Your Parents", February 15, 2007)

While certain titles such as Almighty or the Creator are fittingly only applied to YHWH (Jehovah), the title Lord (like Master, Shepherd, Teacher, Instructor... etc) can legitmately be applied to either Jehovah or Jesus or both.

Hope that helps,

JW

So you are unable to differentiate between your Creator and your creature in Colossians 3:20?
