James 5:8
You too exercise patience; make your hearts firm, because the presence of the Lord has drawn close.
(New World Translation)

The singular "Lord" refers to Jehovah.
The Watchtower: A Christian who is “full-grown in powers of understanding develops such gratitude and enjoys intimacy with Jehovah.—1 Cor. 14:20.
16. What helped one sister to develop ‘firmness of heart’? A sister named Louise admitted that for some time after baptism, her main concern was the impression she gave to others. “I was not doing anything wrong, she said, “but my heart was not ablaze with the desire to serve Jehovah. I realized that I had to make some changes if I was going to feel that I was giving everything I could to Jehovah. The biggest change was to throw my whole heart into his worship. By putting forth such effort, Louise developed ‘firmness of heart,’ and it proved to be vital when she faced a distressing health problem. (Jas. 5:8) Louise said, “I struggled greatly, but I really drew close to Jehovah. (Press On to Maturity—“The Great Day of Jehovah Is Near, May 15, 2009)

The singular "Lord" refers to Jesus.
Insight on the Scriptures: Other references to Christ’s presence generally present encouragement to faithfulness and endurance until and during that time.—1Th 2:19; 3:12, 13; 5:23; Jas 5:7, 8; 1Jo 2:28. (Volume 2, Presence, 4th to the last paragraph)

The first quotation makes no references whatsoever as to who is being referred to in James 5:8. The paragraph simply speaks of a young woman's experience and explains that she had {quote} " a distressing health problem. (Jas. 5:8) " {end quote}

The second quote makes no blanket statement that all references to "Lord" in scripture refer to Jesus. It is dealing with the topic of {quote} "Christ's presence" {end quote} noting that scriptures connected with this topic often encourage Christians to display qualities such as patience and endurance.
"Be patient then, brothers, until the presence of the Lord" - James 5:7
I am not sure what point you are trying to make, but if it is to suggest some kind of contradiction in JW's literature, it has not here been demonstrated in any way by your post. I have found a basic knowledge of how written English works most helpful when attempting to offer a criticism in this area.

"For if we live, we live to Jehovah, and if we die, we die to Jehovah. So both if we live and if we die, we belong to Jehovah" -

James 5:8 is cited when speaking about her relationship to Jehovah and it is cited when speaking about Christ's presence.

Simple.
