What kind of Father demands the blood of His Son?

Post by Elijah John »

Is the God of Jesus a merciful forgiving Father?

Or a bloodthirsty deity who must be appeased by the blood of animals, then later, by the blood of His favorite Son?

I realize these are loaded questions, and that my bias is apparent.

But which is it, merciful Father or Judge who demands blood?*

Which kind of God did Jesus himself teach? (not Paul, but Jesus)

What kind of Father demands the blood of his favorite Son in order to be able to forgive his other children?

--------------------

(note.. this thread is about forgiveness and atonement, not about the wars of YHVH's people etc.)

*if you answer "both" then please demonstrate how the two notions are compatible.
My theological positions:

-God created us in His image, not the other way around.
-The Bible is redeemed by it's good parts.
-Pure monotheism, simple repentance.
-YHVH is LORD
-The real Jesus is not God, the real YHVH is not a monster.
-Eternal life is a gift from the Living God.
-Keep the Commandments, keep your salvation.
-I have accepted YHVH as my Heavenly Father, LORD and Savior.

I am inspired by Jesus to worship none but YHVH, and to serve only Him.

Also, Ms Evans, how do you account for all the upright crosses in Catholicism? I don't believe you ever answered that one.

Can you at least attach a phrase such as "in my opinion" when you make such generalisations. I met and spoke to John Paul 11 and a nicer man one could not wish to meet, so if he was Satanic, then we must review our ideas that Satan is nasty.

I once fell sleep in church too but I'm not a Satanist. This very unusual experience has obviously made you look in all sorts of paces for Satanists who might be hiding their cloven hooves. It explains your view but I'm afraid does not justify sweeping generalisations.

Neither does Satan...they are metaphors for his evil character and his actual debased (NOT exalted in evil!) position in our reality. So are the wings of angels metaphors for their holiness and lightness of being.
PCE Theology as I see it...

We had an existence with a free will in Sheol before the creation of the physical universe. Here we chose to be able to become holy or to be eternally evil in YHWH's sight. Then the physical universe was created and all sinners were sent to earth.

This theology debunks the need to base Christianity upon the blasphemy of creating us in Adam's sin.

Why do you seem to want to cling to your conspiracy theory nonsense? Why do you seem want to believe the worst about the cherished beliefs of others and their religion? (Namely Catholicism)

It is one thing to critique other faiths or belief systems, quite another to literally demonize them.

It is one thing to suggest that others are wrong, quite another to suggest they are evil.

Even in the light of very realistic explanations which are far more benign and far more plausible, you persist?

Sorry, Ms Evans, Satan does not reside under every rock, nor does he lurk in every corner.

And people are not lizards and reptiles. And they are not "shape-shifters".

The Pope does not have horns nor does he have scales.
This is not a refutation. Pictures don't lie. The claim of Satanism was from a Archbishop of the Roman Catholic church. Am I hateful for pointing out paedophillia in the RCC? That's a fact.

So if you want to be in denial, so be it.

But it's not my opinion. I quoted the Archbishop of the RCC. If they associate themselves with Satanic symbols, then it is not my opinion. Just because is nice, does not mean they are a good person. You should know that. The devil, himself, comes as an angel of light.

A sleeper is a term for a Satanist who has infiltrated the Christian Church.
It comes from the word sleeper agent:

"A sleeper agent is a spy who is placed in a target country or organization not to undertake an immediate mission but to act as a potential asset if activated."

Sorry, should have explained that earlier.

I did answer it in my last post:

"Of course there are upright crosses. You can't say the upside cross refers to Jesus because Jesus was not crucified that way. Peter's crucifixion, on the other hand, was a more insidious way of displaying Satanism."

Obviously there needs to be a facade. It has to be subtle else there would be no Catholics!

Pictures Do lie. Take the Cottingley Fairies. In addition, the picture itself may be innocent of lying, but the interpretation given to a picture may indeed be wrong. This is surely obvious.

And if we take a report out of context, then we come up with a falsehood. It was claimed, rightly or wrongly, that the Pope might be in danger of being attacked by Satan himself, who had managed to penetrate the holiest of places. It was not claimed that the Pope was on the side of Satan, but AGAINST him. It is similar to saying that even into the close company of Jesus himself, Satan manages to find a way. Judas betrayed Christ. Does this make Christ's institution evil?

Paedophilia is NOT one of the doctrines of the RC Church; it is an indication that wickedness springs up even in holy places. Murder is not an Islamic doctrine, but we see Muslim clerics preaching hatred that leads to murder and atrocities. There are bad people in the world, even at the Lord's Last Supper.

To quote is not to get the meaning correct. And I agree niceness often disguises evil - a goodly apple rotten at the core. But whether the Pope conforms to this is indeed a matter of opinion.

Thanks for your tolerance and instruction. Marco was being flippant, Claire. I am well aware of the meaning of sleeper.

I meant these ones. How else do you interpret the image of the all seeing eye and pyramid?

The Archbishop Emmanuel Milingo said Satanism is practised in the Vatican. Read the article again.

Of yes, paedophillia crops up everywhere but what does the Vatican do about it? Nothing.

Pope Admits Priests Have Raped Thousands of Children Without Punishment

According to FoxNews,

Pope Francis acknowledged Saturday that the Vatican has a 2,000-case backlog in processing clerical sex abuse cases and says criticism of the slow pace was justified. But he says more staff are being added and insists the Vatican is on the right path.

Why do you think that is? Too lazy?

There appears to be a deliberate cover up. Why?
