Hebrews 1:6
But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says: Let all the angels of God worship Him. (NKJV)
Insight on the Scriptures: True, Psalm 97, which the apostle evidently quotes at Hebrews 1:6, refers to Jehovah God as the object of the bowing down, and still this text was applied to Christ Jesus. (Ps 97:1, 7) However, the apostle previously had shown that the resurrected Christ is the reflection of [Gods] glory and the exact representation of his very being. (Heb 1:1-3) Hence, if what we understand as worship is apparently directed to the Son by angels, it is in reality being directed through him to Jehovah God (Volume 2, Obeisance)

Question #1: Why do the Jehovah's Witnesses teach that the worship that is taking place is directed through the Son unto the Father when Hebrews 1:6 actually teaches that it is to the Son?
Question #2: Why does the New World Translation render the Greek word proskyne as "obeisance" and not "worship" if in reality it is being directed to the Father?
https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/l/r1/lp-e?q=Hebrews+1%3A6
Question #3: By affirming that Psalm 97:1 applies to Jesus Christ do the Jehovah's Witnesses realize that by their admission they are affirming that YHWH (to whom they call "Jehovah") of Psalm 97:1 refers to the Lord Jesus?

Post #2If by the "worship that is taking place" you are refering to the worship that is taking place among Jehovah's Witnesses on earth today, then it is because that is how WE worship. We (JWs) worship YHWH (Jehovah) the Father through Jesus.Faber wrote: Question #1: Why do the Jehovah's Witnesses teach that the worship that is taking place is directed through the Son unto the Father ...?
If, however by "the worship that is taking place" you mean the worship that is taking place (or being depicted) in Hebrews 1:6 then I would ask you the following question: Are you suggesting that Jehovah's Witnesses have said that the object of the worship ("obeisance") in Hebrews 1:6 is NOT the son (Jesus)? If so can you provide the specfic quote that you base this conclusion on?

IF the object of the the Greek verb proskyne (rendered "worship" or "obeisance" in most English bible) is Almighty God Jehovah, the NWT (New World Translation) systematically renders the verb as "worship". It is incorrect to imply otherwise.
(Since the object of the verb in Hebrews 1:6 is believed by Jehovah's Witnesses to be Jesus, the NWT properly renders proskyne there as "obeisance")

Post #4Jehovah's Witnesses have never applied or affirmed in any way that Psalms 97:1 applies to Jesus, thus rendering your question moot.Faber wrote:Question #3: By affirming that Psalm 97:1 applies to Jesus Christ do the Jehovah's Witnesses realize that by their admission they are affirming that YHWH (to whom they call "Jehovah") of Psalm 97:1 refers to the Lord Jesus?

No it is not.
If you believe it is you will have to copy the phrase you are refering to in your reply. I have read the page you link to and there is no such application there.

No it is not.
If you claim otherwise, I am asking you to prove it. Why don't you just copy paste (in "quote marks") the actual phrase in question and source it? If you cannot reproduce the phrase I will have no choice but to conclude that you are not just imagining it? Or that you simply made it up. Did you make it up?
