Questioning Nephilim part 2

1. Do Nephilim have souls?
2. Do Nephilim have free will?
3. Are Nephilim evil by default?
4. Do all Nephilim go to hell when they die? (assuming you believe in hell)
5. Isn't it a bit questionable that God would want to wipe out all Nephilim for no other reason than the fact that they are Nephilim?

Firstly, evidently when Noah preached about the coming destruction not one of the Nephelim manifested repentence (since those that did would have joined Noah in the ark) they were thus part of the wicked individuals that God judged as unworthy of life.

Further , the bible implies that the Nephelim were extremely violent. They evidently used their size and/or powers to terrorize and commit autrocities. They were a "hybrid" made of an unnatural union, that should never have been conceived in the first place. Rather like that would result between a sexual union between a man and a goat, their presence was a testimony to sexual perversion and an affront to the natural order of things. The Creator had every right to clean house, since it was his house. According to the bible everyone outside the ark perished, thus the Nephilim would have been wiped out during the flood.

Jesus likened our present day to the "days of Noah", Jehovah's Witnesses (like Noah) are presently announcing a similar "cleansing" of our planet of violence and sexual perversion.

There is not a single Nephelim character in the entire Bible. What they did or did not do is not specified. So "evidently" we have no idea what they did.

Secondly, are we to believe that Noah's preachings reached the ears of literally every single individual on earth? Even if the Nephelim heard his preaching, why would they listen to him? Why would they consider him anything other than a doomsday nut? I take it you didn't listen to the doomsday nuts back in 2012, so why would you expect the Nephelim to listen to Noah?

And lastly, your original claim was that God designed the flood partly in order to get rid of the Nephelim. If that were the case, Noah would not have invited them on the ark. Why would Noah help the Nephelim to escape the flood when the flood was specifically meant to kill them?
JehovahsWitness wrote:They were a "hybrid" made of an unnatural union
An unnatural union made possible by the fact that God designed humans and angels to be able to interbreed. You know, that think I keep bringing up that you refuse to address.
JehovahsWitness wrote: that should never have been conceived in the first place.
Then why did God make it possible? Why did God not step in and do something about it the moment the first woman fell pregnant with an angel? Why was it possible for the woman to fall pregnant with an angel in the first place?
JehovahsWitness wrote: Rather like that would result between a sexual union between a man and a goat
The difference, of course, being that the man and the goat would not be able to reproduce. Because biology. If God was savvy enough to make it impossible for men and goats to reproduce, why didn't he incorporate this into humans and angels?
JehovahsWitness wrote: their presence was a testimony to sexual perversion and an affront to the natural order of things.
No, their presence was a testimony to God's incompetence in not preventing it from being possible.

Anyway, none of what you said answered a single one of my questions so I'll post them again:

1. Do Nephilim have souls?
2. Do Nephilim have free will?
3. Are Nephilim evil by default?
4. Do all Nephilim go to hell when they die? (assuming you believe in hell)
5. Isn't it a bit questionable that God would want to wipe out all Nephilim for no other reason than the fact that they are Nephilim?

...are you saying that men and goats can produce living offspring?
Jesus likened our present day to the "days of Noah", Jehovah's Witnesses (like Noah) are presently announcing a similar "cleansing" of our planet of violence and sexual perversion.
And this is what I find so frightening about people like yourself. It takes only one small mental step to go from "The God I trust and follow is gonna cleanse the entire planet violently" to "I better help God out, to show to him how devout I am. Now where can I get my hands on some weapons of mass destruction?"

I think it's important:
Nephelim in Greek means "love children."

With all the other stories about drowning illegitimate children, it does seem to make sense that the Bible had one.

I think this topic has stumbled on a dirty secret of the Bible. This fits the definition of "hybrid" pretty well.

1. Do Nephilim have souls?

Yes, their DNA must be human and they are intelligent.
2. Do Nephilim have free will?
Obviously.
3. Are Nephilim evil by default?
If God allowed them to be raised evil, then yes, if he arranged for them to be taught goodness, then no.
4. Do all Nephilim go to hell when they die? (assuming you believe in hell)
Probably too broad a blanket statement, but MOST.
5. Isn't it a bit questionable that God would want to wipe out all Nephilim for no other reason than the fact that they are Nephilim?
Questionable? Inefficient for sure. The OT is just a book of torture, murder and curses for anyone who isn't the chosen people, don't you know?

In addition, mixed race children do tend to be larger and more athletic, even more intelligent or at least culturally flexible, questioning things in the Hebrew culture - well, you can see how that might work.

I actually find this an interesting line of questioning since my reading of the subject matter would imply yes to free will but perhaps no to souls.

Anyone please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

It is my understanding that any miscegenation between ensouled creature and soulless creature would produce another soulless creature. The hypothetical goat-man would not have a soul, even hundreds of generations down the line and even if a DNA test came out pure human. It wouldn't have a soul because one of its parents did not, and the original goat-man had no soul because God didn't want that human to boink a goat in the first place.

It is also my understanding that angels are atheist dead if they somehow die, though that's incredibly unlikely if not impossible. So my guess would be that the Nephilim had no souls. Being part-human though, they could have easily had free will. The alternative is that they were automatons which seems unlikely. JW seems to imply they had the capacity for evil.

My line of reasoning is based on Lilith, Adam's first wife. She wasn't human but probably had free will, since their marriage didn't exactly work out.

There is absolutely nothing in the Bible to support this concept. God told Noah exactly who would occupy the Ark before Noah even began to build it. There were no plans for anyone additional to join Noah the Ark and in fact, according to the myth, no one else did.

Given that there is no reason to believe the flood was a literal event, there is equally no reason to believe the story of the Nephilim should be taken literally.

An additional problem is that the N.T. describes angels as virtual eunuchs so there is no way they could breed with women. This of course isn't the first time the Bible contradicts itself. God should have hired a better editor.

Not surprisingly, this verse mentions absolutely nothing about the possibility of anyone outside of Noah and his immediate family boarding the Ark. It of course also makes no mention of repentance. Additionally, it makes no claim that Noah preached about the coming destruction. It contains nothing that would support your assertion which as I've already explained contradicts the flood myth.

Here is the complete quote which for some odd reason you cut off in your reply:
