"Debate" is viewed one way by some people and another way by other people.

There is "contentious debate" and then there can also be "meaningful debate. "

What determines the difference? Whether or not the person is debating genuinely to find answers or they are debating just for the thrill of outdoing someone else.

If they debate genuinely to search out answers (aka find truth) then there will be evidence of small bits of changed thinking. But if they are not really interested in truth and debating only to show their superior intellect, then there will be little or no effort by them to see any points made by others. The later situation is but futile contending.

You demand a quick answer but you wouldn't understand the quick answer it because you refuse to let anyone to first prepare you so that you can understand,

When quick answers are given, you just attack them as being wrong and still refuse to let anyone help you become equipped to see why what you think is wrong is not what you think.

That is an unfortunate situation and I feel for you because I know you can't see that you do that.

IMHO, all you are actually allowing me to tell you is that you need to think more about what honestly inspecting the answers of others requires.

I used to be just like that and so I recognize it. I, too, learn the hard way.
