What reasons do any here have to reject Islam?
Is Islam the most accurate representation of god?
Why do you not accept Islam?

My apologies for any confusion. I made the remark not to your post, but to the one prior. I ought to have made that more clear.marco wrote:This is thought-provoking Vespasian but I am incapable of expanding your single word into anything meaningfully relevant.tfvespasianus wrote:

Asked for an explanation, I offered one and I see nothing redundant in its composition.
Take care,

Post #42But still, Quran says we should believe Jesus. So, is Quran contradictory book that doesnt really know much?marco wrote: The Koran says there is only ONE God and God has no son.

Post #43The Koran says we should believe what the Koran says about Jesus, which is a slightly different colour from what Christians accept. Given that the Koran is the direct word of God, it has a higher authority than the gospels, which are written by men.

Then blessings on you, Vespasian. I feel better. All the same, I don't see anything tautological in that post either; it just appears to contain a misconception about the status of Jesus.tfvespasianus wrote:

Indeed. When I first read and commented upon it I was under the assumption that it was regarding measuring truth against the NT (tautological e.g. all modern art is rubbish because it is trash) and not the reference to the Koran which changes things to as you say a misconception, but not a tautology. Serves me right for not reading closely after a long days work. In any case, pardon for my interruption as I dont have anything at all profound to add to your able summary of Islamic belief.
Take care,
TFV

And the Holy Qur'an gives huge insights into the working of God and for humanity.
The name Allah is really the Aramaic for Elohim, and since we know that Jesus spoke some Aramaic then Jesus would have said Allah for that word.
Jesus used the name "Father" for Yahweh.
And Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world and the fastest in the USA too, and that is because Islam offers very decisive instruction and discipline for its adherents.
Plus Islam embraces both Judaism and Christianity so the Muslims have never been the true source between the 3 Abrahamic religions.
I can not claim to be a true Muslim because I am foremost a Christian, and I am way too unorthodox even for the Muslims to accept me into their ranks.
Christianity and Judaism are sister religions to Islam.
It is dishonorable for Christians to act as infidels.

I count hundreds of genocides on the Christian side, how many do you count on the Muslim?
Which one is more violent?

I will never understand how someone who claims to know the ultimate truth, of God, believes they deserve respect, when they cannot distinguish it from a fairy-tale.
You know, science and logic are hard: Religion and fairy tales might be more your speed.
To continue to argue for the Hebrew invention of God is actually an insult to the very concept of a God. - Divine Insight

Post #49Well violence in itself is not really a sin, just as in society people require law and order under the brute force of the Police.dio9 wrote: I'm sorry but it seems to inspire violence.
I would agree that Islam does inspire violence against evil, and violence in support of truth and justice, and the use of violence in pursuit of righteousness.
This strong arm of Islam is one of the biggest reasons why Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world and in the USA, because Islam is not a religion of wimps.
In the west including in the USA - Christianity has been suppressed and trampled under by many assorted evils with Christians being unable to defend their self or our society from those evils.
In this 21st century we can only see the spirited Muslims fighting back against the wiles of the great Satan.
Any real Christian needs to applaud our sister religion of Islam.

Post #50Perhaps those Christians who have been killed or driven from their homes by members of their "sister religion" would not have applauded. The theory, like that of communism, may be fine but its implementation is not. Women are suppressed in Islamic theocracies. Young girls in the 21st century are flogged or stoned, presumably in the fight against Satan. When people believe that the God they serve opposes infidels, then the violence they do is not to be applauded. This aside, Islam is strenuously fighting Islam - Sunni opposes Shi'ite. Some would say the wiles of Satan are preferable to being blown up in a plane.JP Cusick wrote:
