And so beautiful Barcelona joins the list of cities terrorists have attacked. I don't doubt that there are those who will say America and the West are responsible. One of the terrorists apparently wrote of his desire to kill infidels.
I was in Madrid a few weeks ago and had intended to revisit Barcelona and its busy street, Las Ramblas, where the atrocities occurred. So terror is just a breath away, at least here in Europe.
Is it possible for those who want to kill to be educated if not by impious Westerners by Imams? Are those who want to kill "infidels" already known in their home circles? Obviously the scale of this lunacy will grow and we will hear on our screens the fatuous: "They will not win." But they do.
What can we do to ensure "they will not win"? Should the world convert to Islam, at least nominally?

Many religions have started out (or at some point, become) violent. If anything is going to change that, it's time as far as I can see.

Re: Is there an answer to Islamic terrorism?
Post #143You mean the very same news that reported the USA have been fighting against the government of Syria?
More to the point, you've already stated in your own posts that the US have been arming the Syrian rebels and thus had a hand in creating ISIS. You said that much yet you somehow still think the US are not against the Syrian government? You can't even keep your own story straight.
You know, news report like this:The USA has never been fighting against the gov of Syria.
US launched a military strike on a Syrian government airbase.
US aircraft conduct strike on Syrian army convoy.
US warplane downs Syrian army jet.

It appears that US did not have permission to intervene in Syria while the Secretary of State John Mattis insists Washington's intervention has been approved by United Nations, that they intend to stay in Syria to continuously fight ISIS.
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharove is not far off when she says that US tries to withhold part of Syrian territory.
I remember while NATO was bombing Belgrade US simply walked into Kosovo and built millitary installation there. By coincidence
it was on the biggest copper mine in Europe.

I expect no less from the US. Unless you are also suggesting that the West shouldn't be in Syria fighting ISIS, I don't see what you said has anything to do with my post.

Post #146Nothing there tells of the USA fighting against the gov of Syria as the objective.Bust Nak wrote: You mean the very same news that reported the USA have been fighting against the government of Syria?

Here is a News source closer to reality = Huffington Post ~ The United States intervened militarily in Syria under the premise of the war on terror and the fight against ISIS, but their presence is actually helping the Syrian government.
What I have figured out is that this is an example of Jesus telling people to "seek the truth" because it sounds so simple and surely everyone considers their self as knowing the truth, and yet Jesus said this anyway, and now I get the point that virtually no one ever really seeks the truth, because people accept shallow and superficial info as the truth and they do not seek anything further.
The USA says to go into a war - and the people go to war without seeking any truth.
The people are told that this is the enemy - so they are the enemy - and no one seek the truth as to why are they the enemy?
The people are told that those are the "bad" guys and we are the "good" guys - and no one seeks any such truth as to = why are they the "bad" guys? and why are we the "good" guys?
And it because no one seeks the truth - and people just accept shallow and superficial as the truth because they do not seek anything deeper, and Jesus said to "seek the truth" because otherwise people will not seek the truth.
The Police and the Courts seek the truth in a crime, but the scope is limited to the crime, and News sources are to seek the truth as their job but most have deteriorated into Fake News, and most of the population really are just shallow and superficial persons.
The truth about the USA in Syria is that in due time it is God who will punish us for this atrocity, and for those who can see - then in fact the USA is already in the beginning of Godly chastisements.

As you seek truth
do you believe that Huffington Post is telling you truth?
From what I've read Syrian gov. is telling America they did not ask permission
to enter the country therefore they should leave.
Assad is often interviewed it is beneficial to watch it and hear what he actually says.

Should the west be there?
The west was there supporting terrorists. Assad knows it, he want them all out.
If Russia had not helped Syria it would have been balkanized by now and Assad would have been killed most likely - Libya style. That's western democracy.

Post #149The Huffington Post is considered by many to be the most reliable News source today, but I do not see it as infallible or as to giving the truth of God.Monta wrote:[Replying to post 146 by JP Cusick]As you seek truth

It is note-worthy to recognize that the link to the Huffington Post is declaring that the USA is helping the Syrian government of Assad and that is a sign that this News source is not intimidated by the American propaganda machine.
It is just politics - as in reverse psychology.Monta wrote: From what I've read Syrian gov. is telling America they did not ask permission

If Assad thanked the USA for our help then the politics would hit the fan and cause a big problem.
What substance do the words of Assad really carry? The USA did not ask permission, and there is no declaration of war, and why does Assad not condemn the USA for our war crimes and our atrocities? that is because the USA is keeping Assad in power.
The only reason left to leave Syria now is to hand the Country back to its dictator - Assad.

Interesting exchanging thoughts with you. We both seek truth on the spiritual level also while here earthly facts/truth.
Reading what you said 'USA is keeping Assad in power' I thought how could you say that? but then from the way you talk you must be American, inundated with A.s political correctness.
What I get from alternative media is that US military intentions in Syria have never been transparent and becoming less so. Pentagon officials declare ISIS to have been defeated in the country but insist that they intend to remain.
Secretary of Defense James Mattis is trying to present this as keeping ISIS 2.0 from coming into existence. Just another twisting of words. There is no respect for the country Syria nor its leader Assad.
