Once he is King, leaders of other nations will look to him for guidance. (Isaiah 2:4)
The whole world will worship the One God of Israel (Isaiah 2:17)
All Israelites will be returned to their homeland (Isaiah 11:12)
There will be no more hunger or illness, and death will cease (Isaiah 25:8)
All of the dead will rise again (Isaiah 26:19)
Weapons of war will be destroyed (Ezekiel 39:9)
The Temple will be rebuilt resuming many of the suspended mitzvot (Ezekiel 40)
He will then perfect the entire world to serve God together (Zephaniah 3:9)

"In Judaism, the Messiah is not considered to be God or a pre-existent divine Son of God. He is considered to be a great political leader that has descended from King David. That is why he is referred to as Messiah ben David, which means "Messiah, son of David".

Excellemt points, but what is the question for debate?
My theological positions:
-God created us in His image, not the other way around.
-The Bible is redeemed by it's good parts.
-Pure monotheism, simple repentance.
-YHVH is LORD
-The real Jesus is not God, the real YHVH is not a monster.
-Eternal life is a gift from the Living God.
-Keep the Commandments, keep your salvation.
-I have accepted YHVH as my Heavenly Father, LORD and Savior.
I am inspired by Jesus to worship none but YHVH, and to serve only Him.

No.
The bible does however contain prophecies which Jesus has not yet fulfilled, showing we must wait until his promised "second coming".
The "fat lady" as they say, hath not yet sung.

When we interpret "I'll be back soon" in some impossibly obscure fashion, we can make every prediction a truth. It depends how well we play with words. Did Christ predict ANYTHING of surprising truth, clear of ambiguity?JehovahsWitness wrote:

Surely there has to be a use-by date on these prophecies? How long do we go before we determine that the prophecies are false? Or do we just continue on forever believing that they are yet to be fulfilled?JehovahsWitness wrote:

I'm wondering how seriously you'd take prophecies from other religions if they were made thousands of years ago. Would you be willing to accept that they were "yet to be fulfilled"?
I've made the following prophecies here. These prophecies are not unfulfulled. They are YET to be fulfilled.

Society and its morals evolve and will continue to evolve. The bible however remains the same and just requires more and more apologetics and claims of "metaphors" and "symbolism" to justify it.
Prayer is like rubbing an old bottle and hoping that a genie will pop out and grant you three wishes.
There is much about this world that is mind boggling and impressive, but I see no need whatsoever to put it down to magical super powered beings.

There is no reason, beyond blind faith, to believe they ever will be fulfilled.
Showing that one must exercise blind faith to consider unfulfilled prophecies as a sure thing....showing we must wait until his promised "second coming".

Are you suggesting that the son of god would have nothing astounding to say? I'd expect at least a couple predictions of value.

To be clear: Atheism is not a disbelief in gods or a denial of gods; it is a lack of belief in gods.

I must assume that knowing is better than not knowing, venturing than not venturing; and that magic and illusion, however rich, however alluring, ultimately weaken the human spirit.
