For me to ask a question in another topic I need to understand what beliefs a Christain must have to be called a Christian.
From my understanding in using this board, several online religious course, and my
knowledge on the bible I have come to the following:
There are only two beliefs that all Christians must have:
1: That Mary was a virgin and God created a baby in her.
2: Jesus was crucified and rose from bring dead.
It does matter if you think the bible is 100% true or 100% stories and myths.
It does not matter if ware magic underwear or not.
It does not matter if you are baptized or not.
It does not matter if your gay or not.
It does not matter what rituals you perform.
It does not matter if you belong to one of thousand Christain cults and main religions.
It does not matter if you pray or attend a church.
Nothing else matters.
Am I correct?
What belifs make a Christain?

Much of what you say makes sense, but what you say about Adam veers from what the Bible indicates.
(1) God did not make man imperfect. Everything God does is perfect. Adam was perfect and, I'm sure, fully informed. He knew what he was doing when he defied God and took the fruit off God's own tree. He wanted to be independent and decide for himself what is good or bad.
(2) Therefore, Adam knew that he would DIE if he disobeyed, and he did it anyway.(I Timothy 2:14) Deliberate disobedience against God results in eternal death. He won't be coming back.

I don't know if man was incomplete or we are descended from Adam.
Genesis 5. This is the record of Adam's line.---When God created man, He made him in the likeness of God; male and female He created them. And when they were created. He blessed them and called them Man. ---When Adam had lived 130 years, he begot a son in his likeness after his image, and he named him Seth.
So, that causes me to think a bit. Are we images of Adam or God? seems Adam. Also, duality comes into play(male/female). Would explain how Cain found a people and a wife. Adam and Eve appear to be a different experiment from the rest of humans. Either way I agree an most of that response.

Yes, there are some things about Adam and Eve that are hard to pin down one way or another.brianbbs67 wrote: [Replying to post 110 by Sojournerofthearth]

What do you mean by "incomplete"?
And by "a different experiment from..."?

I am not sure of a answer on your first question. On your second. it is clear when Cain was cast out, their were other peoples of whom he was afraid of being killed by. God gave him the mark of Cain, whatever that was. So, Eden was a microcosm of the human experiment, so to speak. Other people clearly existed along side Cain And Abel. Their origin is not explained.Checkpoint wrote:Yes, there are some things about Adam and Eve that are hard to pin down one way or another.brianbbs67 wrote: [Replying to post 110 by Sojournerofthearth]
