MPG donation indicator

Would it be possible to indicate somewhere beside a post if that post has been the subject of an MPG donation or MPG donations? It would serve to highlight postings that have generated support.

This is a good idea.

I like the idea of a small medal icon, and perhaps some words to indicate what the medal means. The best place would be after "Post subject: (subject)" and the Quote button, IMO.

Since we're talking about MPG, would it be a good idea to remove the "has a different position" requirement? Almost no one follows it, and I think it's nice to bring good posts to attention even if they are not necessarily displaying a different point of view.

OK, I did this. The icon is on the top left side. It'll show up for MPG donations going forward.

Next problem is going back and figuring out which posts in the past was a MPG recipient. Unfortunately, that info is not really stored in the database in an easily accessible way.

OK, I figured out a way to do this. MPG posts (at least most of them) have been updated to show a badge.

Perhaps there could be some sort of mouse-over explaining what it is.
Maybe even who donated and how much, depending on how much bother that is.

It's a very nice idea, though.
