Your very own usergroup

Now, you can have your very own usergroup. Post in this thread the name that you'd like. I'll make sure the name conforms to the standards of this site and deduct 2500 tokens from you. Then, you'll be the owner and member of that usergroup. By default, people will be able to freely join your group. Or you can choose to confirm membership requests.

To request your personal usergroup, provide the following:
- Name of usergroup (40 character limit)
- Description (255 character limit)
- Note if you want to confirm membership from others (default will be no)

For an additional charge of 10,000 tokens, you can also have your own subforum for your usergroup. Please provide the following info:
- Name of usergroup (40 character limit)
- Description (80 character limit)

Subforum activity requirement:
- Subforums must maintain some activity in it. Subforums that do not have any activity for six months can get removed (posts made to simply bump threads do not count). There will be no refunds given for any subforums removed.

Additional restrictions:
- Do not add people to your group without their permission. Otherwise I will delete your group.
- Descriptions cannot point to personal websites. If a link is found to point to inappropriate and/or offensive material, the group will be deleted.

1/3/2011 Modification:
- Changed group price from 500 to 1000 tokens
- Changed subforum price from 2000 to 5000 tokens

1/12/2013 Modification:
- Added subforum activity requirement

12/31/2016 Modification:
- Changed group price from 1000 to 2500 tokens
- Changed subforum price from 5000 to 10,000 tokens

Bear in mind that usergroups are meant to describe yourself. It's not meant to only discuss a particular subject. If you want to just discuss a particular subject, feel free to just start a thread on it as either a debate or a discussion topic.

Bear in mind that usergroups are meant to describe yourself. It's not meant to only discuss a particular subject. If you want to just discuss a particular subject, feel free to just start a thread on it as either a debate or a discussion topic.

Thanks, I'm unsure about the use of 'usergroups'... and the difference between them and subforums.

Some usergroups seem to have discussions going on like the Definitions usergroup but most don't.

If one expects a lot of discussion about a particular belief, then a custom discussion group can be requested. I do not suspect that there will be a lot of discussion about a pre-conception existence, esp one to justify an entire subforum to be created by it. I would suggest first to just create a regular thread and see how much activity it generates.

Anyone who wants to join can. If it has a discription, it would be "People who can not spell should join this, or people who like people who cant spell."

I'm not too keen on creating a group like this. Bad spelling is not something I really want promoted on this site.

I was thinking that with a subforum the posts about PCE and my answers would not be spread all over the whole site.

If I set up a basic intro in a discussion, then as time goes on it will be pressed away if it is not brought back up by new posts but in a subforum it will always be right there,

I'm not wanting to permote it, but I can understand how it could be seen that way, I want a thing that explains why I cant spell well or that I do not spell well as a group, but I do not know what that would be without others thinking that bad spelling is "good" - it is just something I can not do. Ah, so umm..

I'd like to start the following user group:

Earthling

- Description:

Views ones self as an Earthling. Gives life on Earth priority over nations and religions. In the spirit of John Lennon's Imagine. Although an atheistic mindset is not strictly required. Non-religious spiritualists welcome too.

Note: I had to really work hard on this description to get it down to a reasonable size. I would like to thank John Lennon for his contribution to this endeavor, but even so this required the additional disclaimer that spiritualists are also welcome.

I'm happy with this short description, although I'd like to write a book on how this includes ecology, respect for animals, maintenance of Planet Earth as though it is the delicate spaceship that it actually is, etc., etc., etc.

But I'm sure people who join this group will probably be aware of all the details that it implies.
