ALL YOU NEED DO TO BE SAVED IS TO PICK 1 OF THE 17 OPTIONS BELOW

This assumes,

.....Receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit
.....Seeing/entering the kingdom of God
.....Getting eternal life
.....Not dying in one's sins
.....Not perishing
.....Surely living, not dying

is the same as salvation

1. HAVE FAITH
Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith.

2. BELIEVE IN JESUS
Acts 16:31
And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

3. CONFESS THAT JESUS IS LORD AND WAS RESURRECTED
Romans 10:9-10
if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

4. BE BAPTIZED
1 Peter 3:18-22
For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you

5. REPENT AND BE BAPTIZED
Acts 2:38
“Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

6. BELIEVE AND BE BAPTIZED
Mark 16:16
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

7. BE BORN AGAIN
John 3:3
Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.

8. HAVE FAITH
Ephesians 2:8-10
For by grace you have been saved through faith.

9. WORK AND SEEK
Romans 2:6-8
He will render to each one according to his works: to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life;

10. BELIEVE JESUS IS THE "I AM HE"
John 8:24
I told you that you would die in your sins, for unless you believe that I am he you will die in your sins.”

11. BELIEVE IN JESUS
John 3:15-18
That whoever believes in him may have eternal life.

12. REPENT
Luke 13:3
No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.

13. REPENT AND BE BAPTIZED
Acts 2:38-39
And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

14. CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD
Acts 2:21
And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.’

15. RELY ON YOUR SAVIOR'S MERCY
Titus 3:4-5
But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,

16. DO THE WILL OF GOD
Matthew 7:21
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

17. (for the wicked) TURN FROM YOUR SIN, DO WHAT IS RIGHT, RETURN WHAT YOU HAVE STOLEN, AND WALK IN THE STATUTES OF LIFE
Ezekiel 33:14-19
Again, though I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ yet if he turns from his sin and does what is just and right, if the wicked restores the pledge, gives back what he has taken by robbery, and walks in the statutes of life, not doing injustice, he shall surely live; he shall not die.

You said: "in order to be saved you need to have". If we look for example the first issue, it says:

1. HAVE FAITH
Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith.

It is not the same as "in order to be saved you need to have".
Let me ask you. If you didn't have faith do you think you would qualify for god's grace? Here, let me give you the two verses I listed in the OP for this option.

Ephesians 2:8-9 (from the Expanded Bible, not my original source)
8 ·I mean that [or For; Because] you have been saved by grace through ·believing [faith]. You did not save yourselves; it was a gift from God. 9 It was not the result of ·your own efforts [works], so ·you cannot [no one can] ·brag about it [boast].

I think, to understand it all correctly, one should know that eternal life is promised as a gift for righteous.

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into everlasting life.
Matt. 25:46
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is everlasting life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23

And, if person is righteous, it comes visible in actions and words. I think you listed matters that righteous people have. But, the actions itself are not the reason, because actions are only like fruits of a tree, results of what kind of person is. If person is righteous, he does righteous things. That is why I believe righteous people are saved, they have right understanding that comes visible in their right actions. That right understanding is the crucial things, because it determines all the actions person has.

And for example a righteous person is faithful/loyal to God and doesn't reject Him:

and `the righteous by faith shall live,' and `if he may draw back, My soul hath no pleasure in him,'
Heb. 10:38

To be saved in the end, we must recognize Jehovah as the one true God (John 17:3) and Jesus Christ as His Son, who gave up his earthly life to save mankind from their inherited sin. We must then strive to follow in Jesus' footsteps, seriously taking his instructions to heart and acting on them.

"Even Christ suffered for you, leaving you a model for you to follow his steps closely." (I Peter 2:21)

And what's funny is they are from different anonymous authors who may or may not have met Jesus, or were really trying to convey specific rules.

As we see, religious people have a wide variety of subjective beliefs. They also make it up as they go along.

The Bible is full of warnings against false teachings, and this was before many of these books were written. It's clear many apocryphal stories made it into the Bible, but Christians aren't allowed to question this, and this forum section is designed to protect Christians from learning their Bible has spurious beginnings...

No, it is not cherry picking. I have stated what a thorough study of the Bible will show....that what I have said is what a person needs to be saved. Your 17 requirements don't all add up to Truth. There are some things that are not true, unfortunately. Jesus is not God, and the nonsense that he is cannot be proven, as anyone can see who reads the posts on the discussion of "Jesus Is Not God."

Don't forget that ALL scripture is from god

2 Timothy 3:16-17
"All Scripture is given by God. And all Scripture is useful for teaching and for showing people what is wrong in their lives."

And every word is true

Proverbs 30:5-6
"Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Do not add to his words, lest he rebuke you and you be found a liar."

There are some things that are not true, unfortunately.
Like what? What Scripture given by god is not true?

Jesus is not God,
Some say he is. Some say he isn't. Personally, it doesn't matter

and the nonsense that he is cannot be proven, as anyone can see who reads the posts on the discussion of "Jesus Is Not God."
Okey-dokey, but you still haven't explained what you do with the 17 requirements listed in the OP.

Believe me, we've heard it all. Jehovah's Christian Witnesses have decided that we can trust the authors of the 66 books, so what you have to say against them is of no interest to us. Now, about your list. I agree with all of them except numbers 7 and 10. You say in post 7 that every Christian must be born again. I don't believe that, because those "born again" are the ones who will go to heaven (the 144,000) and all the other Christians will be living on the earth forever in paradise conditions. As Psalm 37:29 tells us, "the righteous will inherit the earth and live on it forever." Not all Christians go to heaven. I for one am thrilled to live here forever.

Number 10 does not show that Jesus claimed to be God. That is BS designed by sly men who are feeding their flocks garbage. Jesus is saying that unless you believe that he is the one sent by God to die for the world of mankind, you will die in your sins. If "I am" meant that a person is God, we would have very many Gods. Take for example the formerly blind man that Jesus healed. The people were discussing among themselves the question of what happened to the "man who used to sit and beg." The man would say "I am he." The exact same words that Jesus said in your quote. So...the blind man must be God as well, according to your logic as presented in #10.

Granted most contradictions resolve if Paradise is physical. Jesus talks about people being rezzed up out of their graves. He did this to Lazarus. Lazarus did not become a soul and float away, at which point everyone rejoices that Lazarus is "resurrected" as his body is rotting. That didn't happen. Lazarus lived on in his body. That's what resurrection means. There's very little means to think it's talking about anything else.

Now, I don't want to live in the body forever. To me that's horrid. I don't want to kill things so I can eat them, and then burp and fart and poop until the end of time. But that's just me. I prefer the other religions' ideas of afterlives, but, as far as the Bible, canon doesn't really support this souls stuff that goes on in those other religions' afterlives.

Still, how do you reconcile #14 with #16?

I don't believe that, because those "born again" are the ones who will go to heaven (the 144,000) and all the other Christians will be living on the earth forever in paradise conditions. As Psalm 37:29 tells us, "the righteous will inherit the earth and live on it forever." Not all Christians go to heaven. I for one am thrilled to live here forever.
First of all, neither boatsnguitars nor I say, your Bible does.

John 3:3 (New World Translation (2013 Revision) )
3 In response Jesus said to him: “Most truly I say to you, unless anyone is born again,*+ he cannot see the Kingdom of God.”

But, of course, believe whatever you like.

Number 10 does not show that Jesus claimed to be God. That is BS designed by sly men who are feeding their flocks garbage.
And yet your bible continues to print just such garbage.

John 8:24 (New World Translation (2013 Revision) )
24 That is why I said to you: You will die in your sins. For if you do not believe that I am the one, you will die in your sins.”

Jesus is saying that unless you believe that he is the one sent by God to die for the world of mankind, you will die in your sins.
Ah yes, put words in Jesus' mouth to fit your theology. I bet this really puts you at the head of the line. Image

Your silliness here even outdoes your cherry picking with John 3:3. Fortunately, no one need buy your "logic" or your cherry picking, and can skip on home content in the knowledge they still have a solid seventeen (17) choices to pick from, as written. Image
