YHWH

Y - the hand
H - reveals
W - the nail
H - reveals

How is anyone that believes YHWH is God able to negate the evidence above that YHWH is Jesus?

https://www.desiringgod.org/articles/je ... -is-yahweh

YHWH is the name above all names correct?

Philippians 2:9-11 says " Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.

Anyone want to directly confront both pieces of evidence?
Proverbs 18:17 The one who states his case first seems right, until the other comes and examines him.

"Why is everyone so quick to reason God might be petty. Now that is creating God in our own image :)."

May I ask, What is your point? How did all that come up when all I said was that I respect the idea that God inspired the writing of the letter to the Roman Christians?

It would further our discussion and lend to greater understanding if thoughtful questions, such as above, were answered. Thanks to everyone who takes the time to do so.

Did God inspire the Romans? They seem to have changed and controlled everything. I believe they had their own agenda.

No, God did not inspire the Romans. He inspired Paul to write an encouraging letter to the Roman Christians.

"Thus saith the LORD [YHWH], thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD [YHWH] thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go. O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea." (Isaiah 48:17,18, KJV)

Isaiah 48:17,18 is so encouraging and refreshing. I think it is awesome to have a God that is so interested in us that he even begs us to listen to him. If we did, our lives would be wonderful. We would benefit to the max. Does anyone have a thought about that?

Why is the Father considered of less importance than the Son?

Yah is the Father. None of His sons take precedence.

That certainly is the way it should be. However, churches today honor Jesus much more highly than they honor Jehovah (if they honor Him at all).
