. . . given power to tempt man, thus leading man into sin and eventually causing him to go to hell?

Couldn't god have done it without Satan's help?

One must accept Jesus as Savior and stand for God's sovereignty over the Devil's. That is the final test for mankind. Then they "come to life"---come to eternal life---after the Thousand Years.
Here is what the Bible states:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

Any human who believes in Jesus as their Savior will gain everlasting life. There is no "and" yadda, yadda ..., or "final test."

Those who believe will be resurrected to everlasting life at the Second Coming.

All who died not believing in Jesus will be resurrected as humans after the Thousand Years and be preached the good news of the Gospel and choose to accept or reject Jesus as their Savior at that time.
Some "goats" will be destroyed at Armageddon, but the rest will go through the Great Tribulation and into the new world Paradise. Those that will reign with Christ will all ascend to be with Jesus before Armageddon. Resurrection of all of the dead will occur during the Millennial Reign and those that haven't heard about the good news will be taught then. Everyone who stands with Jesus after the Thousand Years are over and they go through one final test (similar to what Adam had to do in the Garden) will then have eternal life on Earth. They will "come to life," the real life (I Timothy 6:19) that God originally planned for humans to have.

I answered that in my previous post. We use our power of reason to understand what will happen (Isaiah 1:18). Revelation 20:7-9. Verse 12 states that the risen dead will be judged according to their deeds, and they are written in the scroll of life. What would they be judged on? Their deeds, and where they stand with their obedience and love toward God, wouldn't you say? Who says what deeds are acceptable? They would have to side with God rather than go with the Devil who is let loose for awhile to mislead them.

Yes, those who take part in the first resurrection are those names written in the book of life whom were judged according to their deeds. And reign with Christ a thousand years I believe in heaven in the new Jerusalem. After a thousand years Satan would deceived the nations(the rest of the wicked dead resurrected) to battle the saints and the new Jerusalem coming down from heaven but fire would devour them. Satan and others thrown into the lake of fire that would destroy them. There will no more bad influences from anything as they will be burned up.
And there will be no more choice to side either to God or devil, as the devil will be no more.
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

So who will take part in the 2nd resurrection?

Every human who ever died, shall be resurrected or made alive again:

For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the first fruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. (I Corinthians 15:22-23)

Jesus Christ was the first to be resurrected. The group that will be resurrected next are all dead Christians, or "they that are Christ's," which will be resurrected at the Second Coming, or at His coming. That is the first resurrection.

<======================================>

The rest of the dead and buried are nonbelievers, which will be resurrected after the 1,000 year Millennium:

But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished . . .(Revelation 20:4-5)

So every deceased nonbeliever will take part in the second resurrection which occurs a thousand years after the Second Coming.

The wicked dead will take part in the second resurrection after the thousand years.
And when the thousand years expired, Satan will deceived this resurrected wicked (nations) and compassed the saints and the holy city new Jerusalem coming down from heaven but fire (v9) and lake of fire (v10) will devour and destroy the wicked, devil and etc. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. KJV

Rev 20:7-10
7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

They will initially face judgment.

Following judgment, those whose names are written in the Book of Life will gain everlasting life, live on the earth, and rule over the earth with Jesus for ever.

Those whose names are not written in the Book of Life are cast into the lake of fire and quickly suffer their second and everlasting death.

When the last living human which was resurrected in the second resurrection is either granted everlasting spiritual life or everlasting death in the lake of fire, the age of man will be over -- as there will be no more living humans.

10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
KJV
Revelation 21:4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."(NKJV)

Will those take part in the 2nd resurrection also rule ? Where will they live?
No, they will not rule, as they will be devoured by fire (v.9) that is second death. (Rev 21:8)

Rev 20:9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

Rev 21:8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."(NIV)
