Hi.

I started this thread to share something which I find fascinating and would like some critique re the system I use to generate messages as I share these in this thread.

I would like to discuss the scientific value in terms of both subjectivity and objectivity to do with the way in which the messages are generated [to be explained] and perhaps how the reader interprets the message generated [assuming they see any message] and other related subjects branching from this.

I will also be using as evidence, the way in which words corelate with math, such as;

The resistance is generally traceable to the theistic approach of religionizing said intelligent mind - The Path - Attachment - I am always open to being shown any evidence which supports that Idea - Failure - Invite The Bee To Land - Have A Look At The Map -Invite The Bee to Land - Teachings - Musical Instruments

Note: "Musical Instruments" refer to those individuals who are tuning into GOD/The Gods/Cosmic Mind/Higher Self et al.

The above clearly supports that those who resist the evidence they demand, are doing so to support their lack of belief belief/position. They do not want the evidence that is placed on the table for them to peer review/examine through the scientific process of replication.

Whether this is laziness on their part or simply disinterest/indifference is beside the point.

Put a name to it. The process is - without doubt - scientific.

Also, how does it deal with the contingency of language?

It deals with language as language happens.

Or the fact that these same statements, in different languages, will have different values?

The fact could be that the values will still be significant no matter what language is been used...because the underlying thing being examined here is sound codified.

If it turned out that English was the only language where this system is seen to work, then that in itself would be an interesting phenomena requiring the study of.
But I don't think that would be the case. I think all languages will display the same characteristics as does this one being used.

That fact you expect one to magically know what you're referencing is mindboggling and speaks to, well, I shouldn't say. But no, I'm not buying into your magic word count scheme. Unless you can show I can use it to win the lottery, it's simply fodder not worth my time TBH.

Surface scratching seldom provides results one can work with. Do the science. Intelligence is best utilized wisely in that regard. Laziness - unless some material gain is promised - is not the same thing as "I have been provided no evidence" - but does explain why so many non-theists don't want to go there. Nothing of material value, so nothing worthwhile of interest to them.

I provide the evidence. I cannot make anyone do the science, perform standard repeatability, check the results of the data and peer-review.

If they are too lazy to do the science necessary to prove it is right or wrong for themselves, that is a separate issue which has no bearing on my providing the evidence.

Huh? Assigning numbers to letters of the alphabet and evaluating sentences is science? My Ouija board says NO.

Ask yourself and answer honestly. "What is the definition of science?"

Science. the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behaviour of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment.

Apparently many non-theist materialists imagine science is specific to the study of only the particular structure and behavior of the physical and natural world which endorses a purely materialistic and mindless reason for the universe existing.
Who woulda thought!

As to 'practical' if it produces winning lotto results, 'it is science'...otherwise it is nether 'science' nor 'practical'.

The rational of such argument is clearly bias and serves the one using it, a means of opting out of gaining information which would otherwise go some way in convincing them to abandon their non-theism.

A recent exchange I had with someone, on another message board;

Re non-theists who are opposed to the idea of their being an overall mind behind [invisible/not easy to detect in] our visible Universe - I would say that they do themselves a disservice in resisting contact with said mind.

In the end, we can't change them, they have to change themselves. They have to let in a higher power. Until then, we waste our words. All we can do is just present our own findings, and let them decide for themselves. There will always be naysayers, even if evidence is glaringly obvious, and oftentimes it's not. Is it there? Look at the theory of evolution in science, for example. People were not ready (and still may not be), yet, we know that it exists. I don't pretend to know what it is in the way of evidence that non-theists want in order to convince them to become theists.

The truth is, they don't want any evidence. You can only lead a horse to water...to be honest with you, I would not want to interact with the non-theists you're describing. Some people enjoy a good argument just for that sake, even though it waste's everyone's energy. It would be like trying to teach a narcissist to be kind, or to have empathy. No thanks.. I would rather enjoy my calm. Perhaps they aren't like that, but so many people are when it comes to beliefs about God or about politics.

I allow for the fact [empathy] that many non-theists have been damaged by the religious branches of theism. I am not here to judge but to help and I do not get flustered with either non-theist or theist belief systems - so am equal to the task since my calm is not affected.
I do understand [empathy] what it is like to feel flustered by the unbelief of both non-theists and theist as I had to learn how to deactivate all internal triggers...
