A little about myself:
I was raised a Baptist and latter became one of Jehovah's Witnesses. After many years of disillusionment I had fallen away from God all together and gave up on religion.
A little over a year ago, I found the Urantia book. It answered so many questions that the religions I had bean involved in could not answer for me.
So, make a long story short, I found my way back to God threw my studies of the Urantia Book. I have since given up many prejudice beliefs that I once had.
I hope to find acceptance on this forum and God Bless.
Paul

Welcome. Glad to have you with us.
No doubt you will find people here that will support you and oppose you. But then that's what makes this site interesting.

Society and its morals evolve and will continue to evolve. The bible however remains the same and just requires more and more apologetics and claims of "metaphors" and "symbolism" to justify it.
Prayer is like rubbing an old bottle and hoping that a genie will pop out and grant you three wishes.
There is much about this world that is mind boggling and impressive, but I see no need whatsoever to put it down to magical super powered beings.

That's refreshing. I have seldom encountered Urantia book readers who have that ability.Paul wrote:So, make a long story short, ...

Howdy Workman! Good to see you here. These guys are two quality people. They don't believe in God as far as I know. But if you're like me you'll see God in their hearts. I would trust either one of these two with my life. That's how much confidence I have in the strenght of their characters and beings.
Well I better stop proving Mac right about me being long winded. The thing is I'm that way with or without The Urantia Book.
Anyway blessings to you Workman and if you ever want to bounce any TUB stuff off me, I'm available.
And good will to you my friends McCulloch and Once Convinced. Always a pleasure seeing you guys. Go Maple Leafs and Go Blacks!

Post #8Welcome to the forum workman34. I am sure you will find acceptance as well as adversity. The challenge to support our beliefs is by far the most rewarding work even if we discover our beliefs are not really our beliefs after all.workman34 wrote:A little about myself:

Don't mind McCullock (LOL). He is just jealous that the Urantia book is too complex for him to understand.
BTW: Watch out for our McCullock (LOL), he is well known as the grammar nazi and spelling police.

Welcome to the forum workman34.
I doubt I'd ever hear about Urantia without this forum. And as McCulloch has implied, we've had many discussions here about the UB.
