This is a request for kingiyk, who has posted comments to this effect on another thread. I feel like I’ve already refuted his core arguments, but would still like to debate this more formally, in a proper H2H format.
The rules would be:
-A maximum of four rebuttals (kingiyk can provide the opening argument, with me providing the first rebuttal and so on). I will give him the first and last word.
-No ChatGPT usage. It’s okay to use AI to aggregate sources and clarify questions, but the responses must be self-written and self-reasoned.
-Standard mathematics (algebra, calculus, trigonometry, arithmetic, statistics, etc.) only. If you’re “inventing your own branch of math,†taking it to peer-reviewed journals is a better first step.
-No appeals to faith or hand-waving dismissals. Any argument presented in good faith must be addressed.
-A maximum of two weeks to respond.
