WHY DID GOD MAKE THE VARIOUS RACES?

Post by 2Dbunk »

This summer it seems we are in a war between two races. Donald Trump would add another race (to the south of our border). If God is so loving and compassionate why is there so much disparity between blacks and whites? (Let the Hispanics out of it for now.) Is this violent clashing of the races for "His" entertainment? Is He playing us?

I dont think so because a wonderfully loving Creator wouldnt have mankind at each others throats " so, there is the answer: This god that everyone talks about just does not exist!

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

What good is truth if its value is not more than unproven, handed-down faith?

One believes things because one is conditioned to believe them. -Aldous Huxley

Fear within the Religious will always be with them ... as long as they are fearful of death.

And Adonai, bless him, created the belief divisions by irrationally choosing a bunch of humans as his favourites. Through the centuries millions have died over these belief divisions. Introduce God and you introduce division, it would seem.

It was all our own fault for building a Tower that would reach up above the clouds to where the gods were having dinner. It is all explained perfectly in Genesis:

1.Now the whole world had one language and a common speech. As people moved eastward, they found a plain in Shinar and settled there.

2.They said to each other, Come, lets make bricks and bake them thoroughly. They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar.

3 And they said, Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.

4 But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built.

5 And the Lord said, Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them.

6 Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one anothers speech.

He probably added colour to help him recognise which ones spoke Afrikaans, which Hebrew, which Chinese and which ones spoke a variation of Comanche not to mention Maoris, of course.
Much later, a repentant God allowed some people to speak in tongues but later he sanctioned the use of foreign language dictionaries, which are still used today, to get round the problem he caused in Genesis.

Perhaps "God" should have consulted architects and building engineers to learn that "he" need not have worried that the proposed tower would reach the heavens because structural limitations of masonry (brick) construction do not allow great height.

One would think that "God" would know that (even without asking) -- and would have known it was not necessary to disrupt languages (according to the tale) to prevent humans from doing what they could not do.

That silly story might have made sense to people living in the ignorance of a few thousand years ago, but doesn't seem as though it should to people with modern knowledge and education (unless perhaps the latter two are missing?).

Also, a bit more is known about development of languages now than was available to ancient storytellers or their ancient audience.

Man if fallen. He fears death. This means that he feels me must have as many toys as he can have while hes living. This means losing a position of privilege.

Man has the capacity to right this injustice. He possesses this ability because of God.
Thats one logical explanation for why this disparity exists. The truth of the description cannot be known this side of life unless God personally reveals it to the person, which presupposes that God exists.

So, Man has such supernatural powers that he created the epicanthic fold that primarily defines Asians, and genetically engineered melatonin levels to create
Blacks - and we did this all hundreds of thousands of years ago? Cool!

Can you provide any evidence for this bizarre claim? Race is much more than a social construct. The social construct was clearly a result of the biological characteristics - which were created by who or what? Your God, evolution, or will you really assert that primitive man did it all by his lonesome?
No, physical differences are not social constructs. Giving them significance is. Biological "race" is not as defined as has been promoted. Human diversity is a range, ie. the constructs of bi-racial and multi-racial to maintain the integrity of the "race" concept. Isolation creates monoculture and when isolated communities have occasional interaction, those differences are noted and significance is applied to them.

No, if one wishes to blame Adonai, it would have been the division of the nations at Babel. Avraham was called out of Bavel and the mixed multitude out of Eygpt, not because they were better, but so Adonai could preserve a remnant that would be a light to the nations. Yes, the concepts that Adonai wished to preserve are different from the ways of the nations. However, that does not justify the concept of "race".

If we believe what the Bible tells, all modern humans are offspring of 8 people that were on the ark. They were relatives, so they probably were quite similar looking. Because we now have more than 8 different looking people, it means that some differentiation has happened in their offspring. That means, evolution in some form probably has happened.

But I think there is only one human race, not many different races. Humans look different and thats it, Even white people dont look all the same. Color is only small difference. it shouldnt be reason to do wrong things.

Man HAS BEEN trying to right this disparity but after 150 -200 years we still have obvious injustice, which doesn't pre-suppose that "God" exists. If "He" exists, why did "He" set up this obvious racial barrier? Check item 3 in the poll if you care to continue along your supposition.

The Bible unfortunately does not go into divine motivation but one could suppose that jealousy had a lot to do with it. There is no evidence anywhere of God using sophisticated materials himself to communicate his wishes; he gave Moses bits of stone into which he had hacked some words - now conveniently lost. To this day he has not advanced on that dubious method of communicating unless you accept that he whispered to Muhammad Arabic repetitions of his earlier adventures, with some amendments.

Man is fallen only in the figurative, imaginative account of some improbability. Man is risen above such nonsense now. Some fear death; others don't.

It means that, when we accept myths, our lives become myths. Man has achieved a status far above the gardening artlessness of Adam, by his industry and expertise, and his willingness to ignore talking serpents and concentrate on research.

And has done so commendably and courageously, in spite of lunatics telling him that Genesis proves that the sun circles the earth. Belief in monsters makes man a monster, capable of killing his neighbour in support of a silly dogma.

The titan gods of our past are those individuals who have taken huge steps to make mankind progress. Let us honour them.
