Of course there are. All it takes to be a Christian is to follow what one believes to be the teaching of Jesus Christ. This doesn't require one to believe in the absurdity of the "second coming."
See, that is where you are WRONG.
How about this; wipe the dust off your Bible, and open to Matt 24:30.
Now, that being said...
1. All it takes to be a Christian is to follow what one believes to be the teachings of Jesus Christ (according to you).
2. Jesus taught/spoke of a "second coming".
3. Therefore, to be a Christian, you must believe in a "second coming".
Next..
I for one don't laugh at this although there is an element of amusement. More so there is sadness that folks would live their whole lives expecting something that there is no possible way to provide evidence of.
Let us do
us, while you do
you.
And besides...
1 Corin 1:18 "
For the message of the cross is FOOLISHNESS to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."
You do view all of this salvation/second-coming stuff as
foolishness, dont you?
Ahh yes, it all makes sense now.
Very sad really. It reveals how desperate humans are to find comfort of any kind wherever they can find it.
Ahhh yes. The good ole
genetic fallacy. Gotta love it.
