There are many verses in the Bible about God's predestination. https://www.openbible.info/topics/predestination Why would a good God predestine anyone to do evil? Surely, a good God would predestine all to do good? Does the existence of evil prove that God is evil? Surely, a good God would have made all living things to be autotrophs instead of making some autotrophs, some herbivores, some carnivores, some omnivores, and some parasites? Here are some examples of evil events which caused or are causing suffering, deaths, and injustices:

Re: Is God evil?
Post #152And I concur.(forgot reason for posting)
The Bible tells us that everything is predestined.
It's weird that some Christians pretend it doesn't.
Wishful thinking I suppose.
Which also makes all the churchgoing pointless.
And the singing to a God that people claim to love.
I love you Jesus
Praise the Lord
Hallelujah......
Pathetic. Where's their self respect?
Firstly you cannot possibly love him since you haven't even met him.
You fear him.
With good reason.
He does nasty things to people.
And that sums up Christianity basically.
Some of us reject God on principle
And to hell with the consequences.
But most grovel to him out of fear of hell.
They're known as christians

Post #156Yes. It is essentially a necessary thing to do, out of respect for the readers, collectively.JoeyKnothead wrote: ↑Tue Jan 31, 2023 4:30 pmIt allows those unaware of the particular comments one is replying to, to follow along.William wrote: ↑Tue Jan 31, 2023 4:20 pmIt also helps the reader follow along as to who is arguing with who...JoeyKnothead wrote: ↑Tue Jan 31, 2023 3:43 pmIt helps the observer to know just what comments one wishes to gnaw on.

Post #157Agreed. We can't assume the observer has been following the conversation from its beginning.William wrote: ↑Tue Jan 31, 2023 4:52 pmYes. Have I given you some reason to lump me into the other theist camp?
Really? I like to think of myself as a loving, caring theist and about all I can recall you responding to my concept of God with is snarky skepticism, which I wouldn't call worship. This site is a great example of gods being reflective of their promoters. I look at the loving and caring theists, and worship their gods. Then I look at the hateful theists, and spit on theirs.
Have I given you some reason to lump me into the other theist camp?
