Unsubstantiated evidence, no supernatural events that can be verified, 2000 years of no return (even though the return was supposed to be very soon), I can refute the bible all day because I have read it 4 times and studied it on a collegiate level, and philosophically it is illogical.

Post #3For the same reason that you reject Muhammad, Buddha, Joseph Smith, Charlie Russell, Jim Jones, Sun Myung Moon.YahDough wrote: Let's hear some reasons for such behavior.
Or perhaps for the same reason you reject Zeus, Aphrodite, Allah, Thor, Xenu.
Do you understand now?

That's interesting. Too bad the Holy Ghost wasn't helping you read.Nickman wrote: Unsubstantiated evidence, no supernatural events that can be verified, 2000 years of no return (even though the return was supposed to be very soon), I can refute the bible all day because I have read it 4 times and studied it on a collegiate level, and philosophically it is illogical.
1Cor:1:18: For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

It's what a person "believes" that makes the difference.
Jn:3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Post #6Are you claiming that you don't reject either the "prophets" or "gods" I suggested? You didn't ask about what people "believe" you asked why Christ was rejected by some people.YahDough wrote:How do you know what I reject?southern cross wrote:For the same reason that you reject Muhammad, Buddha, Joseph Smith, Charlie Russell, Jim Jones, Sun Myung Moon.YahDough wrote: Let's hear some reasons for such behavior.

If you don't reject those I listed, then you are indeed a strange christian. If you do, then you know why I reject Christ.

I just do not believe in them. Do you know what "believe in" means?

Im sure if the holy ghost was real then 25 years of belief in it would have led me to the truth.YahDough wrote:That's interesting. Post #9Thanks for that. You accept that Muhammad is the last prophet of the one true god, Allah?YahDough wrote:How can I "reject" things that already exist. You gave credence to the Holy Ghost, but it doesn't appear you had Him. Or if you did have him in some measure, it certainly appears you lost Him. Lots of people fall away from Christ.Nickman wrote:Im sure if the holy ghost was real then 25 years of belief in it would have led me to the truth.YahDough wrote:That's interesting. Acts:2:38: Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
