Is it right to hate some things?
Is it right to hate false religions?
When is hate justified?

Re: Hate
Post #13I believe hate is a useful emotion. It is also a dangerous emotion, and humans are manipulated by emotion.
It's especially dangerous when one has the authority to declare what is and isn't sin, and the power to deal out the punishment.
Calvin thought heresy was a sin and so he had a man killed for something that most Christians believe today - and the Christian public supported him.
I hate that Christians allowed this - I think it's a sin for them to execute a man for not believing what they believed.
So, now what?
“And do you think that unto such as you
A maggot-minded, starved, fanatic crew
God gave a secret, and denied it me?
Well, well—what matters it? Believe that, too!”
