Are dating apps a sin?

Not sure if this has been covered before, but I've been reading a lot about how some people think Christian dating apps are a sin or at the very least not a responsible way to meet a partner. I met my wife on a Christian dating app so I feel like I should be in support of them, but I wonder if God just used something bad for his glory? What do you you all think?

I'm an atheist but I think that if God said be fruitful and multiply, he'd be more upset at the way the world isolates people from one another than he would be at you for using a dating app.

The way many people use them, is probably to find someone to have a one-night stand with which will never result in children unless it's an accident. But a Christian would probably not do this anyway so it hardly bears mention.

An app is a tool. A hammer is not a sin just because bashing someone's head open with one, is.
