What did Jesus create?

Post by snowbound »

It's my belief as well as the belief of many others that Jesus only created this 'earth' and this earth only. It's possible that he didn't even create this entire solar system, but God the Father did. God allowed Jesus to 'design' this planet and this planet only. I'm convinced that when we look up and see the trillions of 'suns' many of them have or likely have had inhabited 'earths' - and likely with humans on them. Possibly some of them have humans larger than us. Possible and in my view, likely the same.

No doubt God is still in the creation business. When this 'earth' reaches its end, God will create more 'earths' and my guess is they likely all FELL and needed a Savior. That Savior would likely be another fully human being like our Jesus was.

In my view it's illogical to believe we are the only human creation among trillions of stars AND trillions of galaxies.

The Word (God) created everything -- not Jesus! Jesus is not the Word! Jesus is the "Word made flesh."

Anyways, the scriptures actually do indicate or hint of life on other planets!

I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. (John 10:14-16)

Jesus was relating a parable to the Jews when He made this statement. So the sheep referred to could be the Jews. If that is the case, then the sheep not of this Jewish fold would be the gentiles. Remember that Jesus came first to the Jews, then to the gentiles.

However, the entire flock of earthly sheep for which Jesus gave His life is every human on the Earth, both Jews and gentiles, or "whosoever". If this is the meaning of the verse, then where are the sheep which are not of this fold? That is, if Jesus died for all the sheep in the fold of the Earth, and He has sheep which are not of the fold of the Earth; then where are these other sheep which He must bring together into this fold?

Jesus could be referring to the angels which revolted on the earth and are currently imprisoned in hell. These sheep would certainly not be of this fold. That is, on the earth:

And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. (Jude 1:6)

These angels are no longer in the fold of the earth, so it's possible that Jesus is speaking of them. Otherwise, the sheep not in this fold could be on another planet or planets. That is, the earth may not be the only inhabited planet. If the earth is not the only planet with intelligent life, it is a very special planet, because God sent His only Son to die for the sins of earthlings. Can you imagine God the Father calling Jesus in and asking, "How often is it that your Father asks you to do something? We have another rebellious planet and I would like for you to go there as a mortal, live a sinless life, you know...

Bible tells things have been created through Jesus. Does it mean, God created through Jesus, by using Jesus, or that Jesus created?

[Jesus] is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him were all things created, in the heavens and on the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and for him.
Col. 1:14-16

Here's some info on the word 'firstborn'.
The word implies a beginning and being created and is used 117 times in the bible. Only 7 times in the NT.

Here are ALL the places FIRSTBORN is used. It never implies ETERNAL!

https://www.blueletterbible.org/search/ ... rimary_0_1
Strong's... "who came into being through God prior to the entire universe of created things (R. V. the firstborn of all creation)"

FIRSTBORN never implies ETERNAL! There's not ONE verse where firstborn implies eternal.
And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn G4416 son: and he called his name JESUS.

And she brought forth her firstborn G4416 son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn G4416 among many brethren.

Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn G4416 of every creature:

And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn G4416 from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten G4416 into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn G4416 should touch them.

To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, G4416 which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten G4416 of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

In every instance where the word 'firstborn' is used, whether it's about the firstborn among the brethren, or the firstborn over all creation, or the firstborn from among the dead, or the firstborn into the world - or anything else - it always implies a beginning! NOT ONCE does it imply ETERNAL. The Textus Receptus uses the terminology, "BEFORE-most-BROUGHT-FORTH."

It's inappropriate to derail the thread and give you my testimony wouldn't you say? And I don't know why you'd ask that. I know him and that's all that count here.

Your knowledge about Jesus would be the right basis for telling us what Jesus created, wouldn’t it? If you don’t know Jesus intimately, what you’re saying about His creation will only be your opinion on biblical passages about Jesus.

Fuck you

Hey admin - ban me from this place. Keep the judge-mental assholes and get rid of the good posters. I just left a church I've been at for years because of an asshole pastor who said he could quote as many acts of terrorism within Christianity as I could in Islam. When he couldn't quote evn ONE he booted me!.

Christianity is full of diabolical assholes.

John 1:3 says of Jesus, “Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.”

Jesus created everything that has been created. So the only things that exist which Jesus did not create are uncreated things – that is, God.
Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge.

No He did not. The Word created everything!

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The same was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. (Genesis 1:1-2)

Jesus is not the Word.

Jesus is the Word made flesh as a human.

The word "him" in John 1:3 refers to "God" not Jesus.

A human did not create the heavens and the earth. The WORD (God) did!
