This and the previous passage are I have to admit very well done, at least from my unschooled-in-Greek perspective. I'm not saying I agree with what you have written, but it does look to be well researched and well sourced.
I am going to see about corroborating what you say (especially about that bit about the bodies being masculine but they being gender neutral), but for now...well done!

Thank you. That is the kind of thoughtful response I was hoping that more atheists and skeptics would contribute.

My theological positions:
-God created us in His image, not the other way around.
-The Bible is redeemed by it's good parts.
-Pure monotheism, simple repentance.
-YHVH is LORD
-The real Jesus is not God, the real YHVH is not a monster.
-Eternal life is a gift from the Living God.
-Keep the Commandments, keep your salvation.
-I have accepted YHVH as my Heavenly Father, LORD and Savior.
I am inspired by Jesus to worship none but YHVH, and to serve only Him.

I like the post, not because it was directed at the particular member - just to make that clear - but because I think it was a fair call and very well worded.

That is quite the excellent point! A single act couldn't define people or else we'd all be walking paradoxes!

This thread deserves a Gold Star. It's such a profound point. Too bad this thread can't be added to the "Best Debate Topic for 2018". Even though the thread is just starting it's just such an obvious "plot hole" in this theology as you say. I don't see how anyone can justify Mary's and Joseph's ignorance here.
