"Well, my friend, if you have never suggested the claims can be verified we seem to be done. What can we do with unverifiable claims? It seems silly to me to keep believing in something once you realize there is no way to verify it. It might be nice to hope it's true, but it seems more pragmatic to chase things one can verify." <--- You hit the nail on the head! One of the best responses to realworldjack's rhetoric I've seen thus far.

The Vain Brain is meat headedness having no comprehension of the mind which uses it, refusing to hand over the helm to that mind and refusing to assume its placement as subordinate to the mind. Post #36

PCE Theology as I see it...
We had an existence with a free will in Sheol before the creation of the physical universe. Here we chose to be able to become holy or to be eternally evil in YHWH's sight. Then the physical universe was created and all sinners were sent to earth.
This theology debunks the need to base Christianity upon the blasphemy of creating us in Adam's sin.

To be clear: Atheism is not a disbelief in gods or a denial of gods; it is a lack of belief in gods.

I must assume that knowing is better than not knowing, venturing than not venturing; and that magic and illusion, however rich, however alluring, ultimately weaken the human spirit.

A well-thought out and composed response which offers a clear example of a biblical inconsistency. Thank you.

Christianity has not changed its belief system to accommodate scientific thought.
