If you were to...
Post #1If you were to kill an unregistered person, (you know, an illegal alien or something) and then bury them, and no one ever found out, would any evil have been done?
“The word "good" has many meanings. For example, if a man were to shoot his grandmother at a range of five hundred yards, I should call him a good shot, but not necessarily a good man.
G.K. Chesterton
Am I buggin' you? Don't mean ta' bug ya'!

I am Death. Vengeance is mine! God's fury rains down on you!

Post #11This can't be universally answered for everyone, of course. Most everyone has a slightly different definition of what is "evil" and/or it could depend on the potential future actions of the one killed.St. Anger wrote: If you were to kill an unregistered person, (you know, an illegal alien or something) and then bury them, and no one ever found out, would any evil have been done?
For me, if I could get away with it, and I felt it was necessary, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

God did it or I'm a delusional nut?
This is the best false dichotomy I've ever seen with a healthy side dish of ad hominem on the side to make it more palatable.
I would like to take the time to highlight to word FALSE in the above sentence. Instead of either of the options provided I would answer with human empathy.
If the only reason we can empathize is a magic being in the sky then we are a sorry lot indeed.
