You are missing the poster's point. The point is that the Christians CHERRY PICKED the Torah. You just proved it too. There is nothing you can do to a pig, aside from genetic mutation, to make it 'clean'. Any Christian who eats pork is a cherry picker. Do you eat pork?
That's right. Where Christians might select one law for close attention whilst ignoring many others = cherry picking.

Pigs ate carrion and so there was more chance of them picking up sicknesses which could be passed to people. Shell fish could collect ingredients which were very dangerous (still can be!), and unscaled fish were mostly bottom feeders. Thousands of years ago there was no medicine to help with severe sicknesses.

All the Mosaic laws were written to help produce a safe, secure, strong, cohesive and successful nation......thousands of years ago. Sin lead to failures....that's it!

Christianity spinning 'morality' and 'sin' out of them is just very strange. By all means Christians can eat pork, catfish, etc but please don't make such a fuss over something like gay partnerships.

Ok, if one thinks pork is still unclean, it is better not to eat it.

No, they did not cherry pick that. Many Christians think that it has been made clean, and therefore it is ok to eat it.

Why do you think God can't make it clean? what do you think unclean in this case means?

Many Christians think.........yes, they do.

Can God make other laws 'clean', such as male partnerships?

Yes, they do cherry pick. As I already stated, orthodox Jews do not eat pork because pigs possess genetic traits which renders them 'unclean'.

You never answered my question. Do you eat pork? If so, how were you able to locate a 'clean' pig?
In case anyone is wondering... The avatar quote states the following:

That's the old New Covenant idea isn't it? Christians can pick anything from the Old Law that suits them and dismiss anything that doesn't because Jesus made everything New. Of course, they cherry pick from the New law, too.

Yes they did!
So where Christians THINK God has cleaned something then they can break Mosaic law, but where they THINK a thing is unclean then God has not cleaned it?

Cherry picking!

Cherry picking!
If it is cleaned, then it is not against the law that says, don't eat unclean things. But, I understand that it may be unclear is something really clean or not. In any case, the issue is on, is it clean or not, not is the law valid or not. And therefore it is not cherry picking.

Maybe it is true that all people cherry pick. But, if we look what is said about the new covenant in the Bible, it means this:

For finding fault with them, he said, "Behold, the days come," says the Lord, "That I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah; Not according to the cov-enant that I made with their fathers, In the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; For they did-n't continue in my covenant, And I disregarded them," says the Lord. "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel. After those days," says the Lord; "I will put my laws into their mind, I will also write them on their heart. I will be to them a God, And they will be to me a people. They will not teach every man his fellow citizen,{TR reads "neighbor" instead of "fellow citizen"} Every man his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord,' For all will know me, From the least of them to the great-est of them. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness. I will remember their sins and lawless deeds no more."
Heb. 8:8-12 (Jer. 31:31-34)
Yahweh your God will circumcise your heart, and the heart of your seed, to love Yahweh your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, that you may live. Yahweh your God will put all these curses on your enemies, and on those who hate you, who persecuted you. You shall return and obey the voice of Yahweh, and do all his commandments which I command you this day. Yahweh your God will make you plenteous in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, and in the fruit of your cattle, and in the fruit of your ground, for good: for Yahweh will again rejoice over you for good, as he rejoiced over your fathers;

I try to avoid eating pork, because I don't know surely is it good to eat it.
