Location o Christ and his co-rulers during the millenium

Post by JehovahsWitness »

Revelation 20 verse 6 speaks of Christ ruling with others for the 1,000 years. As one if Jehovahs Witnesses I understand ...

a) Jesus will rule over humans beings (not spirits) that are NOT designated as kings
b) The subjects (those not designated as kings) will live on earth
c) Jesus will not relocate from heaven to rule from a specific location on earth but will rather be in heaven ruling over the earth.

Please share your thoughts on any or all of the points. How do you understand Revelation 20:6 as regards to
a) subjects : who ir what will he rule over?
b: location where will the subjects his rule live?
c) location where will Jesus (and his co-rulers) be situated during this rule?

No physical body lives eternally!

Shortly after man sinned, God created the physical laws whereby human bodies could not live past one hundred and twenty years of age:
And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be a hundred and twenty years. (Genesis 6:3)

All return to dust:
For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity. All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again. (Ecclesiastes 3:19-20)
Christ's physical body lived for about 33 years!

I understand you have Christ and everyone else in spiritual bodies but based on a (physical?) Planet earth. I'm not too clear what is meant by their "home base" though? (or who they're ruling over..) Does "home base" mean the majority of their time will be on earth, earth being their assigned abode?
myth-one.com wrote: ..However, their home base will definitely be the good earth!
What will be the angels home base be and how, if at all, will it differ from Jesus' home base?

MATTHEW 18:10

For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.

Okay so when you said...
PinSeeker wrote:3. Well, all heart-regenerate, believing Christians will remain on earth after the Judgment, yes, in their physical, renewed bodies.

....what did you mean,? When you refered to somethingnusing the word "earth" after the judgement what were you refering to?
Cut to the chase, JW. Why are you asking me all these questions? I believe I've been very clear. In my view, that statement needs no clarification; earth means earth. But it will be a fully redeemed, sin-free earth, and one with heaven. We might then call it 'paradise,' or 'home,' or even 'New Eden.' In any case, it will be far greater than we can possibly imagine.

Grace and peace to you.

Fair enough. Could we say "at one" could mean "united with" in full harmony with (despite one being a spirit realm and the other being a carbon based physcal one?

Could we call it a paradise earth?

Oops!

Please accept my apology.

Sorry for shouting.

How ridiculous.

Guess I should have known.

You can if you want. But I would disagree.

Jehovah's Witness, with all due respect, honestly, you're giving me a headache. :)

I'll just quote Revelation 21:2-3...
  • "And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, 'Look, God's home is now among His people! He will live with them, and they will be His people. God Himself will be with them.'"
Grace and peace to you.

Dude. You just had to do that didn't you (refer him to me)? We've talked at length about that. He's very wrong. But he's probably a really nice fellow. :)

"Home base." That's awesome! :D

Probably.

But anyway, I have to tell you that this particular he is actually a she. I think it was her female friend, a poster on this subforum, who told me that, some time ago.

Grace and peace to you, Pinseeker.
