What If There Had Been No Resurrection?

Christians,

How would your life change if you were to learn that the resurrection of Jesus never occurred?

What is TRUE love, peace and understanding...
I believe that true love is the love described in the bible. It comes as a result of God's holy spirit. Same for peace and understanding.

I did not see anything in the link that proves the bible unreliable. And I did not watch the video: does it prove that Noah did not live 950 years? If so how does it prove that?

Waterfall wrote: Tue Jun 20, 2023 4:41 am Then what are you saying? Can you explain it?
I already did. A person dies. When they are dead they cease to exist anywhere. If God wants them alive again he recreates them. We call making someone a second time a resurrection. Some will be resurrected with flesh and blood bodies. Some with spirit bodies. Jesus was recreated (resurrected) with a spirit body.
I understand you better now. But to recreate a human being, you would have to recreate a human being, and what is a human being? It is a person with a human body? Not a person with a spirit body? A person with a spirit body is not a person with a human body, so what is going on? God has separated the person from the human body and giving it a spirit body? It sounds to me like the person survive the death of the human body? But you do not like that? To live on in a spirit world? And maybe be reincarnated in a muslim family? Would that not be great? Are you born in a Jehovahs Witness family? Has that been great? Is it time to move on...

Maybe you should just watch the video and tell me why you think it is not just fantasy that Noah lived for 950 years. Science has shown that to be impossible, so what is your argument? Magic...

  • A person with a spirit body is called a spirit. God is a spirit. So are angels.
  • A person with a human body is called ...a human. You (I presume) and I are examples of humans.

No. A person cannot exit without a body. If the body dies, this means the person dies: a dead body is a dead person. Spirits are not usually subject to death but if a person with a spirit body were to die (and God wished to resurrect him) he could do so.

I do not believe in reincarnation.
