A question about God creating the universe
Post #1I posted a question on Yahoo Answers and asked if God could have created the universe any other way but decided to create it the way he did because it was the best of all possible universes, than why did he even think of those other ways to create the universe if he wasn't going to use them? Somebody replied and asked, "Who knows if He had some other "prototypes" of universes in store but ended up choosing to create the one we occupy?" To that question I ask if he did than still why did he think of those other perfect universes if he was only going to go with the one?

There are a lot of if's in that question and one would have to know much about God (gonna assume he exists so I can respond to this question) and his nature in order to give an accurate answer. If God exists, he might not be perfect, in which case he would require several "prototypes" in order to create one that was properly suited to us. The power to create does not mean that something is perfect, even though this is an assumption that usually goes hand in hand with the concept of "God". That is a complete guess on my part, but I think any answer to the questions you pose here will be a guess.
