Theist morals

I was wondering, does theist have good morals? The majority of the theists i meet haven`t read the bible entirely. The most common reason is because their lazy and don`t want to. In the bible there are many immoral acts, and to me, well, god seems like the devil himself. God seems to enjoy rape, infanticide, incest, genocide, slavery, kidnapping and stuff.

Rape: have sex with someone that doesn`t want you to.
Infanticide: Baby killing
Incest: like if your daughters were to have babies with you
Slavery: Use another human for your work.
Kidnapping: Violently force someone to come with you
Genocide, well, i don`t know how to tell in english.

Some theists say that if I as a atheist die, i will go to hell. They say, you will go to a burning hell full of demons that will torture you forever in infinity. Some say, god loves you. contradiction anyone?

Some say, that we are not perfect and needs to be saved. Even if i am a nice persons, donates money to the poor, help everyone i see, i will still go to hell!

The question is, who is more moral, atheist or theist?

I didn't vote in the poll because I think it's missing an option (which perharps is too long to include): Both sides have moral people and immoral people.

Even though morals are not the same for everyone, it is obvious that some theists, Bible or no Bible, are good people, with good intentions, whereas some theists are immoral. Same goes for atheists.

I don't think it would be possible to determine which side has a better percentage of morality among their adherents, even if we could define what being moral is, exactly.

Lets say the only moral the atheist are given comes from their society. (western society?

ofc, you can think both have moral and immoral, but then what i meant is that you can`t call a theist a theist if he/she/it doesn`t follow the biblical rules.

A) Pretty sure they have to vote before they can read this, so it's not going to smooth anything out.
B) There are a LOT of different types of theists, the majority of which do not believe in the Bible.
C) There are a LOT of different interpretations regarding what the Bible says, even for those who do take the Bible literally and try to do what they think it says.
D) There are also a LOT of different interpretations regarding what is moral even using solely a societal standard of morality.

So my vote is Lucia's answer is the best. There are moral and immoral people of both persuasions, and that's the best you're likely to get unless you go the route of amoralism and moral nihilism and declare the entire concept of morality meaningless.
