Here's my latest idea. What is stopping NGO power companies, who have superfluous profit, to start building power plants in the 3rd world free of charge, and training locals to work there?
If the only answer is "because they wouldn't make any money", then are there not a handful of engineers, contractors, managers, architects, etc. who would be glad to do a free project?
In essence, why can't US for-profit businesses take on a non-profit project?
