This is an interesting quiz I found through a topic made on another forum. The title of it is a bit provocative, but never mind that! I took the quiz myself which is a simple 32 question quiz about religions and non-religions posted originally on the Christian Science Monitor (although through another source before that).
Atheists and agnostics, Jews and Mormons are among the highest-scoring groups in a 32-question survey of religious knowledge by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life. On average, Americans got 16 of the 32 questions correct. Atheists and agnostics got an average of 20.9 correct answers. Jews (20.5) and Mormons (20.3). Protestants got 16 correct answers on average, while Catholics got 14.7 questions right.
How will you do on the quiz?

I got 30 out of 32. How did you score?
Are you smarter than an Atheist?

Good job!AkiThePirate wrote:31/32.
I got the question about staying faithful to God despite suffering wrong.
The questions seemed extremely biased towards knowledge of Christianity.
And yes, I found that a bit as well. But, I believe it is from a christian forum. I wouldn't say it's extremely biased though.

32 out of 32. I thought it was fairly elemental myself.
“What do you think science is? There is nothing magical about science. It is simply a systematic way for carefully and thoroughly observing nature and using consistent logic to evaluate results. So which part of that exactly do you disagree with? Do you disagree with being thorough? Using careful observation? Being systematic? Or using consistent logic?

I take issue with the following:
12. Which of these religious groups traditionally teaches that salvation comes through faith alone?
Perhaps protestants put more emphasis on this, but Catholics have never officially taught anything other, than salvation through faith alone. I guess you could say 'who is known traditionally for teaching salvation comes through faith alone', but as the question is, I disagree with its wording.
However I readily admit that I do not know my Islamic holy month, or my US court rulings on certain fundamental issues (perhaps if they were about laws in England, I would have got it correct). Rather a lot of those last questions were US centered, which I guess is understandable, but not something I would really look into. Good quiz anyway!
I got 28/32.
To be honest I find it worrying that anyone can get below 20.

Not quite.. "Faith without works is dead". .. That is the difference between the teachings of the RCC and of the 'by faith alone' in the Protestants. His Name Is John wrote:I take issue with the following:

I found the cute girl getting a Bible degree off to the right pretty distracting, but managed to get 4 right. I guess that's why they call it an average of 16. You all get 32, I get 4, that's an average of 16 right? I mean yea, I could have cheated and looked up all the answers, but why bother? It's not like we're having a popularity contest here. I mean, high school was 25 years ago. Then again, there is my wife who says life is high school.
