Does atheists have easy to cry to sad songs, movies?

I found this text in SciAm.

Why Humans Like to Cry

Humans, Michael Trimble tells us,
are the only creatures
who cry for emotional reasons.

“Why Humans Like to Cry is an exploration of
why this would be so, a neuroanatomical
“where do tears come from.
It’s also a meditation on human psychology.
I ask because I have met atheists that are very logical
and show very little sentimental emotions and little empathy.

I am bad at emapathy and compassion and to show emotions too
but I do cry to sad songs and sad movies but when I tell that to
atheists they kind of find it not important.

To me it is my lack of empathy that is a big problem.
And that so many atheists find emotions not important
makes me worried. Not that I support one over react
with tears for any thing that happens.

Horrible example are the forced crying that is public
in North Korea where they got fired from Job if they failed
to cry together in public crying. Crying exploited for political
control of who is loyal or not.

so would be cool to get personal example of what makes you cry.
For me it is certain way some sing folkmusic it sounds so authentic.
But also movies where they show strong emotion when they take
farewell to somebody they love. Or somebody they love dies and
that is so sad despite one know it is total fake and imagined roles
played and the actors just good at pretending.

Atheists can appreciate all art, even religious art. The metaphors in religion are accessible to many atheists.

Some atheists, if they can stop from laughing or getting queasy from the gore-porn, might even get a little weepy watching "The Passion of the Christ".

Atheists have the same emotions as anyone else. And the same propensity to weep when they are deeply moved as well. For example, thirty years ago I saw the film Sophie's Choice. I only saw the film once. Not only did the film move me to tears, to this day, thirty years later, I cannot even discuss Sophie's Choice without weeping. And I wept last December at the news of the Sandy Hook shootings. I did not choose to weep. I did not enjoy weeping. I simply could not help myself given the details of a classroom of six year old children being systematically executed. It put me in mind of a rhyme by A.A. Milne that I used to enjoy when my own daughter was six years old.

Now We are Six (1927)
When I was One,
I had just begun.
When I was Two,
I was nearly new.
When I was Three
I was hardly me.
When I was Four,
I was not much more.
When I was Five,
I was just alive.
But now I am Six,
I'm as clever as clever,
So I think I'll be six now for ever and ever.

Now, contemplate an entire classroom of dead six year old's and try not to weep. So yes, atheists weep. I thought "The Passion of the Christ" was a tedious two hour S&M snuff film however.

Thanks for your answers. The problem for me is that
very many atheists talks bad about emotions and
them do not retell such personal experiences of
being moved as you guys do here.

But it is good to know that I am not alone having such feelings :)
