Given the nature of reproduction and of natural selection isn't evolution inescapable?
How can evolution not happen?

The earths crust would have been too thin, and too unstable on the molten sea it was riding on for life to have survived , the atmosphere too bleak with ash sulphur, and acid rain.
How long did it take for the earth to get to where it is today where it is just possible to live if you are not too close to a volcano, or earth movement?

You have already shown by many of your posts on this forum that you have a lot of misunderstandings about science. You have even admitted some of them. How can you now portray yourself as someone who is capable of judging evolutionary biologists and cosmologists as not scientists?

Re: Evolution
Post #313So, first you make a claim, then you attempt to provide evidence that your claim is true by making another claim. It doesn't work that way. Your claims are meaningless unless you can back them up with observations, facts or something.jamesjah wrote: [Replying to post 308 by Clownboat]

Where is your evidence that life on earth was not possible up until the last few thousand years? Please don't make claims, please show me the evidence that lead you to this belief.

It is impossible for this world to be populated to 7 billion people from 2 people in a span of 10,000 years that is a simple enough deduction to make. let alone half way through that 10,000 years there was supposedly a flood that killed everyone except for 1 family so its more like 8 people spawned 7 billion people in 5000 years
I honestly think that Jamesjah is going to believe what he will believe and no amount of reason logic evidence or observation will change that. This is just who he is. So my answer is the only way for him to be right is god did it. So I'll make his case for him.
God did it.

Grandiose delusions (GD) or delusions of grandeur is principally a subtype of delusional disorder that occurs in patients suffering from a wide range of mental illnesses, including two-thirds of patients in manic state of bipolar disorder, half of those with schizophrenia and a substantial portion of those with substance abuse disorders.[1][2] GDs are characterized by fantastical beliefs that one is famous, omnipotent, wealthy, or otherwise very powerful. The delusions are generally fantastic and typically have a supernatural, science-fictional, or religious theme. There is a relative lack of research into GD, in comparison to persecutory delusions and auditory hallucinations. About 10% of healthy people experience grandiose thoughts but do not meet full criteria for a diagnosis of GD.

neither did the Piltdown man. but many still accepted it as fact long after it had been exposed, the same as many today who are still quoting dates into outer space even though science has had to accept the earth has not been able to sustain any form of life until the past few thousand years.
It is still the same with doctors who fail to keep up to date with the latest technology.
I see you bring up yet another "Point that has been answered 1000 times'. The Pilt down man was pretty much discounted even before it was shown to have been a fake, because there wasn't any convergence of evidence to show it was real. And, I will note, it wasn't creationists, or theologians that found out it was a fake, it was paleontologists.
“What do you think science is? There is nothing magical about science. It is simply a systematic way for carefully and thoroughly observing nature and using consistent logic to evaluate results. So which part of that exactly do you disagree with? Do you disagree with being thorough? Using careful observation? Being systematic? Or using consistent logic?

Which of those articles say that?? I mean, putting in a 'bing search', and then making a claim is not .. well, providing evidence.
Show which link, and the exact words.. Show that you know what you are saying has anything to do with reality what so ever.
You see, none of those little images seem to have anything what so ever with your claim.

So at 1% how many would 8 be today if they started 5,000 years ago?
I get 32,356,303,484,188,261,343,537
What did you get?
The world population growth rate is a little over 1% per year, was over 2% in 1970.DanieltheDragon wrote: [Replying to post 311 by Clownboat]
