Would Jesus be banned from most Forums?

Matthew 17:17
“You unbelieving and perverse generation, Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me.

Matthew 23:33
“You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?

Matthew 7:6
“Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.

Matthew 15:26
He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.

Woes on the Pharisees and the Experts in the Law

37 When Jesus had finished speaking, a Pharisee invited him to eat with him; so he went in and reclined at the table. 38 But the Pharisee was surprised when he noticed that Jesus did not first wash before the meal.

39 Then the Lord said to him, “Now then, you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside you are full of greed and wickedness. 40 You foolish people! Did not the one who made the outside make the inside also? 41 But now as for what is inside you—be generous to the poor, and everything will be clean for you.

42 “Woe to you Pharisees, because you give God a tenth of your mint, rue and all other kinds of garden herbs, but you neglect justice and the love of God. You should have practiced the latter without leaving the former undone.

43 “Woe to you Pharisees, because you love the most important seats in the synagogues and respectful greetings in the marketplaces.

44 “Woe to you, because you are like unmarked graves, which people walk over without knowing it.

45 One of the experts in the law answered him, “Teacher, when you say these things, you insult us also.

46 Jesus replied, “And you experts in the law, woe to you, because you load people down with burdens they can hardly carry, and you yourselves will not lift one finger to help them.

47 “Woe to you, because you build tombs for the prophets, and it was your ancestors who killed them. 48 So you testify that you approve of what your ancestors did; they killed the prophets, and you build their tombs. 49 Because of this, God in his wisdom said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and others they will persecute.’ 50 Therefore this generation will be held responsible for the blood of all the prophets that has been shed since the beginning of the world, 51 from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who was killed between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, I tell you, this generation will be held responsible for it all.

52 “Woe to you experts in the law, because you have taken away the key to knowledge. You yourselves have not entered, and you have hindered those who were entering.

I do not think that the Scriptures support universal pacifism or civility.

To answer the question set forth above: Yes, I think Jesus would be banned from these forums. He would not only be non-mainstream, but he would be considered outrageous to most of the people here.

The "world" has no tolerance for the truth. And more quickly to believe lies. The Word of God and prayer has been ban from public schools, gov offices, etc. The Ten Commandments has been taken down throughout the USA. And people have the nerve to wonder why things have gotten so bad? No Jesus = no peace.

Yes, HE had the right to rebuke the Pharisees... they were evildoers.

So to answer your question... I'd say most forums would ban HIM.

I take it for the purpose of this question (and the sake of argument) we are assumiing Jesus existed and that he said the words attributed to him.

Lol ... I agree Jesus didn't hold back his punches. Still he only said what everyone else was thinking, and if you notice, he only let rip right at the end of his ministry when he knew (despite his previous relative restaint) his fate had been sealed anyway. He "called a spade a spade" as we say today and if the spades felt affronted, that was their problem.

They had their own form of "political correctness" back then, and calling highly respected religious figures "vipers, hypocrits, stinky graves" and telling them they would "rot in gehenna" wasn't very "pc" at all! He let them have it right between their eyes and knew what that would cost him. Jesus faced much harder sanctions for what he did than being banned from a forum and he faced them head on and with courage.

To answer the question: Would Jesus be banned from most Forums?

It depends on WHAT kind of forums we are talking about. On this one...? Probably. On most, possibly. On mine? NEVER!

Jesus didnt come for peace.

Luke 12.51 Do you think that I have come to give peace in the earth? I tell you, no, but rather division. 52 For from now on, there will be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. 53 They will be divided, father against son, and son against father; mother against daughter, and daughter against her mother; mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law."

Matthew 10.34 "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.

Incredable people still call Jesus the ´Prince of peace´ when he clearly does not come for peace!

That´s not true, Jesus in the begining of his ministery annoyed people, and I think it´s fair to say he knew what was comming from the beggining of it.

Luke 4.28 They were all filled with wrath in the synagogue, as they heard these things. 29 They rose up, threw him out of the city, and led him to the brow of the hill that their city was built on, that they might throw him off the cliff. 30 But he, passing through the midst of them, went his way.

John 8.59 At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds.

Matt 21.45 When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they perceived that he spoke about them. 46When they sought to seize him, they feared the multitudes, because they considered him to be a prophet.

If you read my words carefully you'll see I ddin't say "he didn't annoy people" from teh beginning of his ministry, I said he showed "relative restraint" (relatative to the royal hammering he gave at that final temple confrontation). I did not say that he did NOT know what was coming early on in his ministry; especially as attempts on his life started, pretty much from as soon as he started preaching.

There is nothing in my statement that is (as you put it) "not true" looking at it scripturally.

The sword of God, is the Word of God. And it does divide the sheep from the goats. Those who hear the Spirit of truth/sheep... and those who do not/goats.

Jesus is the Prince of Peace. I have peace that goes beyond all understanding...because I have Jesus in my life. When people have known what I've gone through... and I have peace; they don't understand. It's because, Jesus is my Savior.

I am glad you have excepted Jesus, we all should, but that is not the issue here.

The issue is that Jesus does not come for peace as he says.

Jesus is not the Immanuel of Isaiah!

Jesus is not given the name Immanuel by Mary he is given the name Joshua,

It means:- Yihweh saves.
