What did Jesus teach?

Post by Elijah John »

For debate, what did Jesus teach?

Pure monotheism (Shema) and simple repentance...or
Trinitarianism and vicarious blood atonement?
My theological positions:

-God created us in His image, not the other way around.
-The Bible is redeemed by it's good parts.
-Pure monotheism, simple repentance.
-YHVH is LORD
-The real Jesus is not God, the real YHVH is not a monster.
-Eternal life is a gift from the Living God.
-Keep the Commandments, keep your salvation.
-I have accepted YHVH as my Heavenly Father, LORD and Savior.

I am inspired by Jesus to worship none but YHVH, and to serve only Him.

Vah Dough,

There was no disrespect whatsoever as I told Elijah, just quick glances at your moniker that I perceived as Van Dough, as a take off of the artist Van Gogh.

Conversely, it seems as though the moderator should not chastise, demean, and condescend a poster amongst the alumni that violates the rules that they're suppose to uphold. It would be better to post it in private message, and not out front of everyone.

As for our respectful future discussions, that looks questionable with the warnings that I have received thus far. :)

Vah Dough,
Sorry. Vah Dough is not here. Would you like to converse with YahDough?

You know you don't have to address me. at all if you are responding to my post.

As I understand it, you were sent a private message but you did not respond quickly enough. It is hard to guess what you are thinking.

Suit yourself. I think I do know how you feel. I have almost been kicked off this forum several times. And sometimes I do think the rules are applied incorrecly. But there is a mandate for that also. You can challenge the moderator's action and get the whole moderating team to decide a proper response. I suspect the moderator comment could be removed if warrented. :)

Elijah,

Fine, you assume as a premise the conclusion in which you wish to reach which was false! Without a response from me in a timely manner, you took it upon yourself to "assume" that I was being disrespectful? Wrong!

The irony is that your unwarranted statements to me were violating the rules of this forum.

Personal attacks of any sort are not allowed. Comments about any person that are negative, condescending, frivolous or indicate in any way a lack of respect are not allowed.

In general, all members are to be civil and respectful.

I post once a day, and wasn't near a computer to see that I received a message, and the fact that I am new and not up to speed on the protocols. You're pretty quick on the draw to accuse me in such a manner.

I saw "Van Dough" and thought it was a derivative of the artist Van Gogh, therefore the connection, and I didn't see the correct spelling. There was absolutely NO disrespect

Subjectively, your claims are really petty under the circumstances as if I am suppose to answer you post haste when I have a life away from the computer. lol

:warning: Moderator Final Warning

The rules have already been explained to you before, so we should not have to keep issuing you with warnings. If you have a problem with moderator warnings, then either PM the moderator or the site administrator Otseng. Do not use the forums to air your personal grievances.

If you feel that anyone, even a moderator is breaking the rules, then please report the post.

Please review the Rules.

Moderator final warnings serve as the last strike towards users. Additional violations will result in a probation vote. Further infractions will lead to banishment. Any challenges or replies to moderator warnings should be made via Private Message to avoid derailing topics.

Society and its morals evolve and will continue to evolve. The bible however remains the same and just requires more and more apologetics and claims of "metaphors" and "symbolism" to justify it.

Prayer is like rubbing an old bottle and hoping that a genie will pop out and grant you three wishes.

There is much about this world that is mind boggling and impressive, but I see no need whatsoever to put it down to magical super powered beings.

Why do you call my forum handle a "moniker"?
I must put down the 104% rye

Where did you get the extra 4%?
while I am conversing within this forum, uh, maybe that's the problem.
Probably not. Rye is good for you. But I suppose it could be that extra 4% that doesn't exixt.

What does YahDough refer too anyway?
God is Yah and I am His dough.

If you say my whisky doesn't exist, then RUSSELLS RESERVE SINGLE BARREL RYE has been lying to me for many years!

Russells Reserve has continuously produced some of the best rye whiskeys, and this non-chill filtered, 104 proof single barrel rye is no exception " delivering a balance of spicy pepper, vanilla and tobacco flavors. Master Distiller Eddie Russell planned this release for years, resulting in a big whiskey that stands up to any cocktail.

So, your Yahweh's dough that he molds you into the principles of his Judeo-Christian bible, okay.
