The Kingdom of Heaven

Post by Elijah John »

Does (or will) the Kingdom of Heaven transcend the walls (metaphorical) of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses?

Will those outside of the Watch Tower organization be part of the Kingdom? Will they inherit "eternal life in Paradise on Earth"?

Why or why not?
My theological positions:

-God created us in His image, not the other way around.
-The Bible is redeemed by it's good parts.
-Pure monotheism, simple repentance.
-YHVH is LORD
-The real Jesus is not God, the real YHVH is not a monster.
-Eternal life is a gift from the Living God.
-Keep the Commandments, keep your salvation.
-I have accepted YHVH as my Heavenly Father, LORD and Savior.

I am inspired by Jesus to worship none but YHVH, and to serve only Him.

Back in post # 62 you derailled the topic with a claim that JEHOVAH was not God's personal name.
I showed you that in the bible, that God did say that his NAME is Jehovah, notably in Isaiah 42:8 .
You pointed out in post # 69 (correctly) that JEHOVAH is an English transliteration of the Divine Name. You were not clear if you were against anglicizing of Hebrew Names
I pointed out that in your own posts you use the English transliterations of bible names so it would indeed be hypocritical for you to declare such a policy wrong.
Then you suggested that God's name was "hidden"
I drew your attention to the fact that the Name of God (in its original Hebrew form) occurs THOUSANDS of times in the bible so, no the Divine Name cannot be accurately referred to as "the hidden name of God" . Indeed in I further went on in post # 72 to demonstrate from scripture that rather than hide the name, the bible commands worshippes to "praise" "exort" "honour" and "hallow" that very name.
You next referred to Moses' conversation about God's name in Exodus 3 quoting verse 13.
I pointed out verse verse 15 of that same Chapter where God explicitly states his name to be YHWH (JEHOVAH/Yahweh /Yehowah)
Your next objection was about the letter /J/ being one of our newer letters in English. You (perhaps wisely) refrained from going so far as to suggest that the English pronunciation is thereby inappropriate.
My post #83 demonstrated that the history of the English letter is irrelevant when it comes to accepting or rejecting the Divine Name in that langauge. I provided a a video which further explains the history and of the letter /j/ and the Divine Name of God.
When I again referred to God saying his name in scripture, you denegrade the bible claiming scripture it to be "polluted" and claim that the tetragrammaton is only to be found 3 or 4 times in the TORAH.
I responded with a screenshot from the Jewish Encylopedia which affirms God's name appears a total of 1, 419 times in the Hebrew Torah.
CONCLUSION You claim that Shakespeare was correct when he wrote "a rose by any other name would smell as sweet" and then write at least half a dozen posts with objection after objection to our use and high regard for the Divine Name of God. Whether they speak English, Hebrew or any other language, Jehovah's Witnesses recognize that while we may not be sure how God's name was originally pronounced, we do know what that name is and it is our great honor and privilege to publically praise it. Any objections?

Given that it took many centuries for this new religion to present itself (in the 1870s somewhere) it seems incredible that God would have stayed quiet all that time while so many were in error. The RC Church uses Scripture to show its authenticity, which might anger some, but since its claim seems the oldest and the Church has survived longest, with links through its saints to the apostles, if there is some exclusivity about Paradise, one would suppose the RC Church will have the major claim; certainty a better one than a late comer intruding on old pastures.
