Who do you cheer for?

The athlete or the coach or the judge?

Can any creature really score a perfect 10?

Well even I am going to pause to consider that metaphor for the trinity.
Proverbs 18:17 The one who states his case first seems right, until the other comes and examines him.

Yes, a judge is authorised to apply the rules. But a good judge only applies the rules. What's so hard here?

What's hard here is getting you to admit the obvious, that a judge has authority over the athlete; that when you or anyone stands before a judge they are not equal in power or authority to the judge.

If you would say yes, that sentence is exactly right, then nothing is hard at all.

Well let's pause on this because you're not understanding the reality that a judge has authority to implement the law. They have no authority to do anything else. They cannot simply because of their position apply any ruling they like.

What's hard here is getting you to admit the obvious, that a judge has authority to implement the law over the athlete; that when you or anyone stands before a judge you are not equal in power to implement the law. That it is the JUDGE who according to the law and only he that has the power to have you punished if you do not obey the law and have you free from punishment if you do, ie the judge has the authority to assess the actions of the others according to law.

You quoted me in post 43 admitting that. The judge has authority.

So now answer my question.

Edit: or not.

So can we agree with the above?

Sure.

Assessment seems a bit poorly worded. The judge does nor assess they apply the law. Its not an opinion based thing.

But let's allow it to stand for now.

If you obey the law what can a judge do to you?
