Post #1056At least those guys sound like themselves instead of sounding exactly like every other band out there as is so often the case. Am I right?

Post #1058Angus was being interviewed by a reporter one time...
Reporter: Why do you only use three chords?
Angus: Those are the ones that work.

Re: Just For Giggles.
Post #1059I think it's good for good ideas to be borrowed and shared and reinvented and remixed and reexplored and given tribute. Classical musicians copied eachother and that's good. Listen to Wagner and then listen to Mendelssohn; having listened to all of the former there is still something enjoyable and new to be gained from listening then to the latter.Athetotheist wrote: ↑Thu Jan 13, 2022 1:17 pmAt least those guys sound like themselves instead of sounding exactly like every other band out there as is so often the case. The trouble is, with modern music, there are not a lot of good ideas or good sounds out there to be reexplored and thus everyone copying eachother plays out more like two dogs recycling the same barf over and over again.

Basically, modern music in a nutshell.
