So, what is the simulation supposed to be simulating?
Yes. It practically explains how a bush can appear to be in flames and yet not burn. The Tanager wrote: ↑Wed Oct 05, 2022 8:19 am [Replying to William in post #80]
I have already agreed that ST is a valid way to interpret the Biblical stories if, by 'valid', you mean logically coherent.

I cannot see the image, unfortunately.
Google "Moses and the burning bush"+"Images".The Tanager wrote: ↑Wed Oct 05, 2022 8:51 pm [Replying to William in post #86]
Nope, I'm guessing it's the internet filter we use for our family. I'm guessing all imgur images will be blocked.
Based on the concepts I tie to the different images, I would say the one that adds the man because it directly brings the concept of 'personality' into the burning bush, which is the key element, I think, of the biblical story, that Moses is interacting with a personal being. Which do you think is more accurate?William wrote: ↑Thu Oct 06, 2022 11:34 amGoogle "Moses and the burning bush"+"Images".
There are 2 types of images associated with the subject...one simply shows a man engaging with a burning bush while the other shows the same but adds the element of another man within the burning bush, supposedly representing YHVH.
Of the two images, which better represents the biblical story?
To the story, the image without the addition of the man.The Tanager wrote: ↑Thu Oct 06, 2022 11:54 amBased on the concepts I tie to the different images, I would say the one that adds the man because it directly brings the concept of 'personality' into the burning bush, which is the key element, I think, of the biblical story, that Moses is interacting with a personal being.
